  1. I wish I could type quicker you beat me to it. SVT 24 showed a meeting which IMO had as much if not more overtaking than any GP this year.
  2. Yes, but I was watching on SVT 24 so maybe it was a different camera angle
  3. Good post. The strange thing to me is Scott ,Chris and in the past Lee, have all ridden on Ole Olsen prepared tracks. Why is it a problem to set a bike up. Scott Nicholls 60 GP's and every one starts like his first ever. The Danes and the Swedes have the set up instantly, the British riders don't find it till race 15? On to Thursday more of the same ? Don't the British talk to each other ? What is the point of the top three Brits being there if they can't (don't) help the less experienced riders ? You are correct tunning engines is not the, b all and end all of bike preparation, communication and advice helps.
  4. Nice to hear that a youngster knows, there's hope for us yet. But I think he needs more guidance the one in yellow was better
  5. If he wasn't fit why not wait till the race off ? There was no hope of team GB winning anyway against the Danes. This meeting would have been a better test fo the younger riders. Sorry, but poor Scotty is not 100% fit is not a real reason for his score. Maybe he is more concerned about his 15 minutes of fame than team GB.
  6. The FIM have put a qualification system in place to try to ensure the best riders are in the championship. Why do riders bother to spend money and time investing in the system, when the individual federations ignore the results. If a rider does not feel confident about his chance of qualification through the proper route, he should not be included in the championship
  7. Best British Qualifier last year was Richard Hall and this year it's Lee Richardson. Why does Scott Nicholls get the nomination?
  8. Why not reduce the pay scales, to an economically viable level to the clubs and less appealing to the foriegn riders.
  9. It's only the Irish part that's not symmetrical, there's no Welsh bit otherwise it could of been SO obvious with an upside down dragon. Maybe they hoped to be saved.
  10. I posted the same thing last night but noone else has the pride in their heritage to know or care. In a nautical situation it's an S.O.S. call.
  11. Ah.... Planet Zog are the tracks different there then
  12. Remember it's not the winning it's the taking part that counts.
  13. The averages for Sweden if your interested S Nicholls 7.01 L Richardson 6.75 C Harris 5.83 S Stead 4.95 O Allen 4.47 Roll on thursday haven't seen such good comedy on tv in Sweden that I could understand.
  14. I live in Sweden now and no, to see their performances over here is laughable. (Kumla - Kennet says it all)
  15. The problem is the poor quality league racing you have in GB. The British riders convince themselves they're good with the help of biased media. The truth hurts.
  16. I think it's Lynch's master plan deflect the media gaze, then win the play off and the final (less pressure on Scotty now)
  17. Have you noticed that the Union Jack that the start girl is holding is upside down which means "SAVE OUR SOULS" Rather Apt
  18. As a neutral spectator I would totaly agree with that assessment of the incident.
  19. Thanks for the support. Come and say hi if you are about. Hopefully the weather will be good to us!!!!!
  20. I spoke with P-A at Bollnäs the other day. He is 32 and has been Ice Racing since 2002. He competed in the world championships in 2005. He will ride at Inzell in the VM-Semi final.
  21. Thank you for the support Lyndylou. Nice to know I'm still remembered in the UK. It has got a little colder, hopefully it'll be a better season than last year with the weather. If you or any other forum members are at the ice racing when I'm there, make yourself known as it's always good to see British supporters and the Union Jack.
  22. IMO K Bjerre was trying to find a line on the inside of the track cutting across F Lindgren.Interesting point of note for me was both F Lindgren and J Davidsson went for the same outside line in the rerun that Lindgren was on in the first attempt when K Bjerre hit him. Still it's difficult to tell from the camera angle and the ref had the best view.
  23. The riders are selected by their federations to go to 3 qualification rounds, Stralsund , Lvov, Togliatti. From each of these 10 riders +2 reserves go to 3 semi finals. Brijham, Kerskro, Gorican, 18 seeded riders are also in the semis. From the semi final 5 riders +1 reserve go to the final joined by one seeded rider from the host nation. This competition is run by the UEM, which is seperate from the FIM and is European not world wide.
  24. IMO the DMSB don't need to worry about BEL or BPL form while making their choice, it should be done on German or continental racing. What happens in Britian is of no real importance.
