  1. I've been looking on Ebay but can't find a German 2008 GP programme. It would be nice in my collection along with the unicorn horn and rocking horse s##t
  2. Only the speedway GP and that was dying anyway.
  3. I followed this on the updates on speedway-forum.de Iris but what does zuschauer 2500 mean, is that the spectators. If it is then it's better than Lakeside had for their league championship semi final with Swindon. I must get to watch one of these meetings at sometime.
  4. Ooops. It's being a dinosaur that causes that. But it makes me angry when people who went to, what should have been the show piece finale. Are ripped off, then left with little or no chance to get to the rerun.
  5. Surely, if Olsen was at fault, as was written in the Danish press article that Tarabanko posted, then it was an act of god not incompetence Tickets issued by the BSI/IMG will only cost them, printing and paper, how many GP's are oversubscribed .
  6. The reserve date is 25/8 at Gelsenkirchen, because it's indoors and guaranteed to run
  7. How bad a state can it get The last GP has been canceled for what reason? incompetence ? poor ticket sales? (this is the 200,000 dollar winner takes all meeting) if the BSI/IMG can't sell that what can they sell ?
  8. That could be interesting, with only the champion assured of a place in the following years GP's unless there is more than one rider in contetion who the hell is going to bother going to Oz. Will the fans flock to watch 16 Aussies ride a joke meeting? Would you book a flight after this weekends fiasco? Welcome to the circus where are the clowns?
  9. I don't disagree with that statement at all, but by cancelling yesterday's meeting and transfering it to Poland, how many of the fans will be able to get there. What the BSI/IMG ? group have done, is stuck their finger up to the fans who went to Germany, they're confident of a profitable crowd in Poland, the rest will forget by March, who cares. Next year then 11GP's in Poland and one in Oz.thats ok, it's better than one meeting everyone can budget for. These people forget where their money comes from.
  10. Most fans go to the GP's because, it's the only chance they have to see top riders racing each other, unless they travel to Sweden or Poland to watch the league racing. A monopoly is one way to sell a product but it isn't the best way.
  11. IMO no one's a "fan" but it's the product thats available. There are enough threads on this forum to prove the one day final was more appealing to the average punter, but it will never return. Next season this forum will be full of posts about which GP they are going to and all this will be forgotten.
  12. Good choice. I wish the wife would hurry up and finish the tyre so she can cook the dinner.I'm getting hungry sat here
  13. Nice to see you have a sense of humour after tonight, it's the wifes turn on the tyres today.
  14. I'm happy just watched A.Jonsson win last year, in a race with the 4 best riders in the world Jonsson ,Crump, Adams and Hancock. Thanks to Swedish TV for the rerun.
  15. Swedish TV is showing the German GP from last year tonight. The racing wasn't as bad as some GP's have been this year.
  16. To be fair to speedway it was never a sport, when J Hoskins discovered dirt track racing it was a showground attraction. After today it may have been better to promote the bearded lady.
  17. Thanks Iris, Manu. may be early for this one then Hope there's no roof on the stadium though
  18. Does anyone have results or updates for the Golden Band meeting in Olching.
  19. You read and post on this forum, surely you've heard of media "spin". Otherwise known as bulls##t.
  20. Which in fairness to the most important speedway nation, is more important than a second rate meeting, on a temporary track that decides a championship which is already over.
  21. N. Pedersens crash in Poland ? A. Jonsson's illness ? C Harris is injured ? poor ticket sales ? You can take your pick.
  22. Simon Wigg won the World Longtrack Championship 5 times.
  23. Also how Holta acted when Nicholls tried the same move on him, just like it was a racing incident. Pure class.
