  1. To be fair it's only once in each GP Pedersen has hit him off, not every time they meet
  2. If any of the riders actually belived Sayfutdinov's motors were oversize, it would only cost 25 quid to put in a protest and get it proven. But just think of the loss of respect from fans and fellow riders if the motor was ok. The FIM protest procedure Any person or group of persons - rider, passenger, entrant, manufacturer, official, etc., recognised by the FIM and concerned by a decision taken under the authority of the FIM, has the right to protest against that decision before the International Jury, except in the case of statement of fact. Protests against the eligibility of a rider, passenger, team or a motorcycle entered, must be made before the start of the official practice. Protests against results must be presented to the International Jury within 30 minutes following the publication of the results. An appeal may be made against a decision of the International Jury to the International Disciplinary Court (CDI). All protests to the International Jury must be made in accordance with the requirement of the Disciplinary and Arbitration Code of the FIM and be accompanied by a fee of USD 40.- or SEK 340.- returnable if the protest is justified or forfeited if the Disciplinary body considers the protest to be groundless, or if it is withdrawn without a hearing. IMO this is media manipulation to undermine the Russian rider
  3. It had an interview with Pedersen so it had more comedy content than Swedish TV tonight.
  4. Thought it was top 6 from each of the 5 qualification rounds, joining two seeded riders in the semi's.
  5. http://subedei.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa...amp;thread=3254
  6. Thought the reserves were selected by their finishing order at the British final. It should be Woffinden and Richardson, but as Richardson is riding in the GP qualifier, the same night, it was passed to the next best finisher which was Stead.
  7. Are GB sending a replacement, or is Richard Wolff taking his place?
  8. It would appear they are, Rickardson and Jorgensen don't come cheap but they are there, and even the rider currently 17th in the GP can afford Tatum in his corner.
  9. Try http://www.speedway.org/ But the last time I checked the line up was still incomplete, as the French federation haven't declared a rider as yet.
  10. Not anything to do with them both being Danish then, just the human side
  11. N Pedersen was disqualified because he was the cause of the stoppage, in the opinion of the person in charge of the meeting. In Cardiff he conned the referee twice, so the ref's have still got one to get back.
  12. Sorry missed that bit. I did find it strange, going back to wood fences but I can see the logic with the handlebars thing.
  13. I thought that some Swedish tracks were replacing the wirelink fence with wood, on the straights this season.
  14. The FIM link has Krister Gardell so we will wait to see. http://www.fim-live.com/en/media/news/news...13th-june-2009/
  15. It's the same in all branches of motorcycle sports and it doesn't get easier as you get older. I have been "lucky" to represent GB in iceracing and it costs. While having sympathy for the riders and followers, I would love a meeting that close to home. Having ridden in Europe, Russia and Scandinavia it's just part of the sport, and IMO it's also why British riders don't get enough overseas' experience. It is an honour to wear a British race jacket but it comes at a cost as you say, I hope the 4 that went enjoyed their racing and that the financial side can be improved. It would help a lot of the younger riders to partake in the UEM/FIM under 19/21 team and individual championships if a sound financial package could be organised, other nations seem willing to invest in their youth far more than the UK. The UK has the largest league set up in Europe, but can't support a team of 5 youngsters to go to Germany.
  16. I think that you will find the referee is Krister Gardell. Christer Bergström is normally the SWEMO representative on the juries at the GP's
  17. Just a percentage rider doing his job, but unfortunately on the decline. With Sayfutdinov, Jonsson, and Lindgren riding well it takes his safe top 8 place away. The inclusion of Bjerre, Walasek and Ulamek, looks to have made points a lot harder to come by this year. Nicholls, Harris and Andersen are also struggling to make any real impression.
  18. The best bit was the huge chear from the crowd, you knew who'd been excluded without being told, great TV
  19. Unfortunately that is what happens, look on other threads Walasek, Ulamek and Sayfutdinov all criticised prior to the start of the GP series as not good enough, no hopers, a waste of a GP space.
  20. It's a British thing. The Germans can't be any good or they would ride in Britain. It will be interesting, if Team GB finish last in Peterborough they will have to qualify next year. IMO they will struggle against teams like Slovenia and Germany outside the UK.
  21. There was only one team for the win in this meeting, but it's good to see Germany in second place, despite losing a rider early in the meeting. The youth policy in Germany is certainly working,
  22. The reason that Lindback and Sayfutdinov have TR in their corner is, they show talent. They are motivated indviduals who are making an impact on the sport. The Brits show no appetite for success, and will always receive the Sky sports wildcard to next years circus so results don't matter. The riders themselves are responsible for who they chose to have in their team, all it shows is a real lack of ambition from the Brits.
