  1. Jouni Seppänen had problems with his clutch basket in Övik during the Swedish league meeting. It's good to see he was able to repair it in time for the Finnish final.
  2. The Norwegians did well then, it's £200 more than I got to ride the Ice qualification round in Austria.
  3. Kevin Rowand (there's no l) started riding in 2006. He has rode in the European Championship in 2009 and the 2010 Czech Republic pairs championship His bikes were for sale, but he has got them back and will ride at Flims on the 5th of Feb.

  5. I have places and points totals for 01.05.74. in Bremen, Germany and 05.05.74. in Monticello di Fara, Italy but no heat details.
  6. I don't think that Rob will be able to ride, which is a pity it would have been good to have all the British riders together in a meeting. There is some other interesting news for German based fans. The motoring magazine Motorrad will have an article about Gunther Bauer, in the February issue which is published on the 4th of Feb. I spoke with Klaus Herder, who wrote the article at Saalfelden, it was his first ice race meeting and was totaly hooked on the sport.

  9. St. Johann is natural it is on the speedway track, but the problem was the pit area, not the track for practice yesterday. I've not ridden Saalfelden before but I'm lead to belive it is natural as well, I will know for definate after next week. Thanks for the suport, I have had a problem with my hand since my 1st race at Gniezno hopefully a weekends rest will help.
  10. The practice was cancelled because it rained for 3 days and washed the ice away in the pits. The practice will take place tomorrow at 2pm and the meeting will start at 6pm.Is the message I have recieved from pit crew in St Johann.
  11. The selection for the WC spot is being decided by the track racing committee, so I'm not 100% sure yet. There will be no GB rider in the European Championships, the place has been given to Austria and I've heard a rumour that the Norwegian won't be going either. My season starts in Poland on the 2nd of January in Gniezno, weather permitting.
  12. I'm here Kevin doesn't have any bikes, they are for sale at Pegasus Speedneeds, so he needs to buy one back quick.
  13. The NA newspapper in Sweden revealed that he wanted to join Indianerna, but his wage demand would have bankrupted the club http://na.se/sporten/speedway/1.993629-na-avslojar-henka-nara-indianerna-braket-over

  17. Harris rode there earlier this season and won the WC Qualification round. Holder rode there in 2009.
  18. Couldn't agree more, the reward for being a mediocre British rider is a GP wildcard pick. So you only need to be mediocre.
  19. Don't worry there will be two in the GP's again thanks to the free entry wildcards

  22. It's strange that all of this has happened just weeks after the BARB viewing figures have been amended to give more accurate numbers. //www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=51662&st=15 The figures on this thread suggest that Sky were over estimating viewers by, in some cases as much as 200% using their old BARB calculations. This would have misled the Sky directors and their potential, and existing advertisers, to the benifit of showing speedway as a live sport. Therefore relagating the sport to a minor position in their schedules.
