14 camera changes in Heat 2! -
Not in UK, just have to be on track and heading towards the start.

The same has been said by many people, many times! The two minutes rule as per FIM should have been adopted years ago. Not ready to race as the clock ticks down to zero...excluded!

It's actually reverted back to 20 for this year. Most riders started with their last 10 from 2022 in their Rolling Average. Riders like Schlein for example, who didn't compete in 2022, have their previous season 20 meeting Rolling Average stats in their starting average this year.

Looking at the replay Edwards was guilty of rolling off the throttle just before the finish line. -

I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, but , noting that the regs you posted above says (except FIM Speedway Grand Prix world championship series) can you show the actual regulation that says a race cannot be awarded. I can't see it in my copy. -

10.19 Finish of a heat The finish of a heat shall occur in the case of any of the following circumstances. a) when the front part of the front wheel of the motorcycle (whilst attached to the machine) passes over the finishing line after completing the appropriate number of laps provided the competitor is in contact with his motorcycle. b) when the referee has awarded the heat as provided for in these regulations. c) if the referee has cause to stop a heat after the leading rider has passed the start/finish line to commence the last lap, the referee has the sole discretion to award the heat based upon the positions of the competitors at the time the heat was caused to be stopped. The disqualified rider will be awarded no points and any competitors behind the disqualified riders will advance one place. d) where racing incidents etc. have reduced the riders available to take part in the rerun of any heat to a single competitor, the referee may award the appropriate number of points to the remaining competitor without the need for a further rerun. -

Ever heard of disabled Speedway supporters?

There is the very large grass area alongside the stadium which must be 3 or 4 metres above the track level.

I believe it was her first meeting as Secretary. She is sharing the role with Mike Poss. To come to the decision regarding 8th place you first have to trace the races where the riders met. Then you would discover that, as per the SGP Regulations (9.2 Page 22), A beat B, B beat C and C beat A. Thus bringing in the rule regarding lowest SGP number. It all takes time and you want to be sure that you have got it right! KanDysoft no longer provides FIM with Software. I agreed to step aside due to the fact that Baansport can provide a far better on-site support. They have similar software but I believe that the change in software (for Referees & Secretaries) takes a bit of getting used to, as is to be expected. KanDysoft software gave a quick look up guide to the heats, but I'm not aware as to whether the Baansport software does this. Glad to say that my own copies of SGP software (Just £12 for the whole series, and you can do a print out with the Rider names for each SGP!) gave the correct S/F line ups.

Leicester home leg to be postponed due to a re-arranged Lions v King's Lynn fixture (now Thursday 11th May), to avoid two meetings in 3 days at the stadium.

Match day programmes are usually up to and including the last meeting for that team, whereas the Green Sheets are usually updated after 23rd of the month, to take effect on the first day of the following month. Green Sheets will also be updated as and when an assessed Rider achieves the required number of meetings to be given an 'official' average.

Wolves have re-declared their team since 2022 if you need to be pedantic.
-
010.5 FACILITIES No facility is permitted to replace a rider, who although included in a re-declaration has not made an appearance for that team since being re-declared.

I personally don't have a problem with Testimonials, or farewells. If I don't think the particular rider deserves it, I won't bother going.

List of Speedway promoters past & present.

I am in no way trying to justify what happened, but did the decision to sell happen some time after that terrible fire at Bradford? Football, and wooden stands (like Leicester's) were then deemed unsafe. -
Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO

I don't think that it was actually the weather that caused the problems. I believe it was found that stones had been allowed to get into the shale mix, making it unable to bind as normally expected.
