  1. Freddie has 'gained' 11 Championship Points (36) v Race Points (25) Bartosz has 'gained' 8 Championship points (36) v Race Points (28) Top Race Points scorer Doyle (29) has 28 Championship points.
  2. Ever heard of disabled Speedway supporters?
  3. There is the very large grass area alongside the stadium which must be 3 or 4 metres above the track level.
  4. I believe it was her first meeting as Secretary. She is sharing the role with Mike Poss. To come to the decision regarding 8th place you first have to trace the races where the riders met. Then you would discover that, as per the SGP Regulations (9.2 Page 22), A beat B, B beat C and C beat A. Thus bringing in the rule regarding lowest SGP number. It all takes time and you want to be sure that you have got it right! KanDysoft no longer provides FIM with Software. I agreed to step aside due to the fact that Baansport can provide a far better on-site support. They have similar software but I believe that the change in software (for Referees & Secretaries) takes a bit of getting used to, as is to be expected. KanDysoft software gave a quick look up guide to the heats, but I'm not aware as to whether the Baansport software does this. Glad to say that my own copies of SGP software (Just £12 for the whole series, and you can do a print out with the Rider names for each SGP!) gave the correct S/F line ups.
  5. Holder beat Lindgren Lindgren beat Fricke Fricke beat Holder.
  6. Leicester home leg to be postponed due to a re-arranged Lions v King's Lynn fixture (now Thursday 11th May), to avoid two meetings in 3 days at the stadium.
  7. Match day programmes are usually up to and including the last meeting for that team, whereas the Green Sheets are usually updated after 23rd of the month, to take effect on the first day of the following month. Green Sheets will also be updated as and when an assessed Rider achieves the required number of meetings to be given an 'official' average.
  8. Wolves have re-declared their team since 2022 if you need to be pedantic.
  9. 010.5 FACILITIES No facility is permitted to replace a rider, who although included in a re-declaration has not made an appearance for that team since being re-declared.
  10. I personally don't have a problem with Testimonials, or farewells. If I don't think the particular rider deserves it, I won't bother going.
  11. I am in no way trying to justify what happened, but did the decision to sell happen some time after that terrible fire at Bradford? Football, and wooden stands (like Leicester's) were then deemed unsafe.
  12. I don't think that it was actually the weather that caused the problems. I believe it was found that stones had been allowed to get into the shale mix, making it unable to bind as normally expected.
  13. Bonus Points not included in the Green Sheets.
  14. This was actually proposed by one of the former Referees a few years ago, but nothing came of it. I've noticed in the past where at some tracks, although the tapes are level (horizontal), they sit well above the height of the wheel spindle on the I/S gates due to a camber in the track.
  15. Not a bad idea, that, and wouldn't take much to implement. Sadly, it's too late for this season.
  16. Although you may regard it as factually incorrect, it is the official result and is what the Green Sheet averages are calculated on. Using the 'wrong' result, James Wright's average would increase from 5.65 to 5.73. Adam Roynon's 3.56 average would reduce to 3.44. Too much time on my hands on a Sunday morning!
  17. The Referee's scorecard (which is the Official result) shows Etheridge, Roynon, Wright, Knudsen.
  18. At a recent Nuneaton S C meeting, Martin Smolinski said that the Anlas GP tyres were only produced to last two races. (one edge per race). Don't know whether that is the same compound as used for UK racing.
  19. Emil and Artem to bring Poole up to the Lions' level?
  20. Looks like the reference to reducing to 10 meetings at the end of the season has been removed. 2023 Rider Statistics - British Speedway Official Website
