Bad news for those of us who usually book the University rooms. They are no longer offering the rooms.
-
Having seen the progress Ashton has made through 2023, I would personally not be disappointed to see him as a RS.
-
I believe the 2024 Rule Book will include conversion rates for assessed PL to CL averages, and all foreign Leagues averages too.

(17) Rugby Borough Council - YouTube Rugby Council Planning Inquiry schedules. 27th & 28th November. 10:00am. I believe that Monday's meeting is more to do with the NHS element and Tuesday is for 'Summing Up' from both sides.

Phew! Was dreading him re-aligning with Leicester!
-
So how did the more professional business-like promoters allow themselves to be outnumbered by the MM amateurs?
-
Make your mind up! Are they Mickey Mouse amateurs, or 'more professional business-like promoters'? Would be interesting to see which promoters YOU put into each group!
-
And why shouldn't they go to Tenerife?
-
So blinkered, some posters! Are promoters not allowed to have a working holiday, or even a holiday then? If they have made a 'profit' from their Speedway business, how do they plow even a penny back into facilities at a stadium where the majority are merely tenants? If the costs are, as someone suggested around £1000, to attend, what difference would that mean, adding £1000 to a track's overall budget for the year? That £1000 (and more) can be wiped out in quick time by a rain off.

U19 FINAL WEDS 25TH OCT
Gambo replied to Speedway fan's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Now to be re-staged Saturday 21st @Cowley. 7:45pm. -
NDLRC take 2 Sunday 15th October
Gambo replied to Neila's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
At the time of the line-up being compiled, Dan was unsure whether he would be fit for racing. He did a couple of 'test' laps at Leicester last night, as did Lee Complin, who fell. The meeting was cancelled without a race being started. -
If a deal doesn't happen, Chapman surely just gets the tangible assets value (air fence, lights tractors) if they can be sold on. So no need to be greedy?

Glasgow V Poole Championship Final 8/10/23 6pm
Gambo replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No. Smith replaces Dan Thompson (injured). Jacob Hook replaces Joe Thompson (Glasgow v Poole). Jody Scott replaces Lee Complin. (Glasgow v Poole) -
He did not prove anything. Merely elicited an opinion. There were no figures (from either side) to prove or disprove viability.
-
Surely it should be up to BE to PROVE that Speedway/Stox is not viable.
-
A business model for Speedway is irrelevant. The viability of Speedway is irrelevant. The fact that someone is prepared to refurbish the stadium and run the two sports is surely an argument FOR the viability of the sport(s). BE's failure to comply with the planning & safety requirements throughout their ownership, failure to provide and fund an alternative site for a stadium, ignoring local residents opposition for the redevelopment etc. should also be taken into account in rejecting their appeal.

SGP wild cards 2024
Gambo replied to longmeadow's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If any of the 'banned' riders are to be allowed to compete in the GP's, surely they should take the same qualifying route that others have to, and therefore not be in the actual GP series until 2025? -
Matt Ford said that his (and I presume all CL Clubs) 'office costs' of around £12,000 are covered by the Discovery payment. By office costs, I presume that is his club's contribution to the running of the Rugby based HQ.

I would just like to say thanks to the forum members who are looking in to the proceedings and keeping us aware of what is going on. I watch a bit when able, but, like others, miss large sections and are not aware sometimes who is actually questioning and responding. Can't believe that they've spent nearly 3 days debating 3G pitches!!
-
Because they know that a stand-alone stadium needs Stox (and other users) as a support, so are mainly concentrating on the Speedway side of it, as if to prove their point. They ignore the Stox input as much as they can.
-
All this discussion regarding the 3G pitch is a bit puzzling to me. Aren't BE planning to include one?
-
He (Neil Allen) is appearing on behalf of the council, not a witness for SCS.
-
Maybe their QC is labouring the point as a filibuster tactic to prevent Matt Ford giving evidence at a crucial time, whilst the developers objectively have the upper hand.
