  1. Summers is 'allowed' to ride if Leicester wish to use him now that he is available. Wolves took the option to use Hansen. They could have used Masters, but chose not to. ATB Dave
  2. Maybe others were considering moving in for him, but were blocked by the promoter of the club that holds his registration?
  3. How would the track be made bigger when there is the greyhound track around the outside?
  4. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! I wonder how many Coventry fans (me included) had pencilled in James Sarjeant (6pts) for Heat 14 rather than Josh Bates (2 pts) ATB Dave
  5. Krzysztof is on an assessed average until he has ridden 4H & 4A. The latest info I have is that Rolling Averages now only include the previous season (2015). As he did not ride in England last season his 2014 average applies until the 4H & 4A is achieved. ATB Dave
  6. I believe that this is only a recent concession to the 'rules' regarding the showing of meeting footage, but with a restriction on how long that footage can be displayed. ATB Dave
  7. Having had a sneak preview, I'd say the brilliant cover picture alone makes the Official Programme a 'Must Have'. Excellent work from Jeff Davies. ATB Dave
  8. Like the idea of lasers at the tapes and behind the rear wheel, but would a laser be visible to riders and fans on a sunny Summer afternoon?
  9. In an interview I did with Charles Ochiltree, back in the Good Old Days of the Speedway Mail, the C.O. explained that the Brandon Bee was chosen more to wind up the Birmingham promotion at the time than for any other reason. Birmingham of course having the 'B' emblem on Racejackets. ATB Dave
  10. I spoke to St. John of Buildbase at the Track Shop a couple of weeks before Christmas. I asked him about the 'new' stadium plans and although he did not go into specifics, his reply of "Keep The Faith" is enough to keep me optimistic about the post-2016 future of Coventry Speedway. ATB Dave
  11. Cardiff Student accommodation is now available to book. 13. Extract from a recent Coventry Telegraph report regarding CCFC and a new stadium:- Coventry City FC chairman Tim Fisher said he could not comment on the progress of the stadium plans in order to avoid “prejudicing” negotiations. Coun Stokes added the council had spoken with Coventry Speedway bosses about finding an alternative location for a stadium, with their existing Brandon home set to be converted into housing. However, he said that was a very different prospect to finding space for a new home for the Sky Blues. He said: “A major stadium that might attract 30,000 people some day is going to be more difficult than a stadium that will attract a couple of thousand for speedway.” Full text here:- http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/no-new-coventry-city-fc-10595559 ATB Dave
  14. I disagree, if the link had been put where you suggest, I for one would not have seen them as the History section is a place I rarely visit. I'm sure it will receive a wider audience here. It could always be moved there later. ATB Dave
  15. Why not just declare that those who started 2015 as Heatleaders to be Heatleaders for 2016? Not much difference to SCB's weighted list. ATB Dave
  16. BBC CWR will be hosting their annual live Speedway Forum at 6:00 pm on Monday 26th October. Guest line up not confirmed as yet, but usually includes a mix of Promotion and Riders. ATB Dave
  17. 61 in total, with 4 at Coventry in June! 61M 278R 348Pts 41B Ave 4.94/5.60 ATB Dave
  18. Belousov (#22) has been confirmed as the replacement for Kildemand.
  19. Easy with hindsight, but heat 10 might never have started if 4 tape breakings had taken place? Coventry usually have two sets of tapes set up on the gate. Harris breaks tapes..Excluded and replaced by Garrity. Rain continues to fall as the two minutes passes. (Second set of tapes is used) Kylmakorpi breaks the second set of tapes and is replaced by Sarjeant. Still raining as a further two minutes passes, plus extra time whilst new tapes have to be put in place. Garrity breaks tapes. Raining whilst tapes now have to be repaired again. Sarjeant breaks tapes. Definitely too wet to continue now!
  20. We can now! As Ove FundinFan said, it was 5 third places. ATB Dave
  21. you are right, it doesn't. but that is all the information I have. ATB Dave

  23. My reply is a bit late, I know, but the official results can always be found on the FIM Website, in the Library link. http://www.fim-live.com/en/library/ You can narrow your search by Document Type = Results and Owner = CCP Will help if you know the IMN No. ATB Dave
  24. Most meetings??? Garrity has fallen in 4 meetings out of 14 for Coventry this year, and one of those was when he received a very dubious exclusion in the match at Poole. Most Meetings?? ATB Dave
