Well no, what I'm saying is that Masters while being a talented/fast rider, I wouldn't want him riding for my preferred club because when your backs against the wall he gives in, he's flakey,  remember the end of last season. He really needs somebody like Nicholls to motivate him. Against Poole his motivation was personal, he just didn't want to be beaten by Lawson yet again, before heat 15 how many times in a row was it? He's motivation is about himself not the team.

Yeah. Sam was just "looking after himself" wasn't he when he shielded Kemp for 4 laps in heat 6 tonight.

  2. ACU PRESS RELEASE:

Leicester, UK – The 2025 ACU British Flat Track Championship reaches its thrilling conclusion on Saturday 16th August at Leicester Speedway, with practice and racing set to kick off from 12:00pm. Spectators can enjoy the action free of charge.

Rider entries have already hit record levels, promising a day of fiercely contested racing as competitors battle for the honour of being crowned 2025 ACU British Champion in their respective classes.

In the premier Pro Class, the title race is wide open, with four riders still in contention and the top three separated by just three points. Current leader Tim Neave will be aiming to draw on his FIM World Championship experience to defend his position after an impressive double win last time out at Workington. Hot on his heels, just one point behind, is early series leader Jack Bell, who will be looking to make a statement on his debut ride aboard his new Triumph 450. Only two points further back is Gary Birtwistle on his Royal Enfield, whose consistency throughout the season could see him leapfrog the leaders with a strong performance.

History will also be made this weekend as the first-ever ACU Ladies British Flat Track Champion is crowned. Skye Adams has been unbeatable this year with four consecutive race wins, but Jamie Kimber will be challenging her for the race wins this weekend.

The Youth Classes promise equally fierce competition. Current Inter’s series leader Cody Asher will look to secure the championship, but faces a strong challenge from Leon Bennett, who has taken victory in the last three rounds. In the Junior Class, the Hewson brothers, Freddy & Leon, and Reuben Hall are set to push the pace at the front.

In addition, five other hotly contested categories will take to the track – Vintage, Twins, Pitbike, Mini-Stock, and Motocross – guaranteeing a full day of racing action.

Join us for an action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled day of racing and help cheer on the riders as they battle for ACU British Championship glory – all with free admission.

Can someone confirm if the Final GSA for Team building in 2026 is based on what it is after the final league meeting in the regular season and before the play off's.

That would mean Poole Teams Final GSA's for this season will be known on the 20th Aug after the away match at Oxford.

    Is my understanding correct ?

League Matches only in PL, League and BSN series in CL. Note that some teams League Matches may actually be run after the Play Off's have taken place.

It's not something I can't get too excited about either way tbh... on the one hand I do enjoy an extra heat with pretty high stakes, a whole league point... but on the other hand it seems a pretty easy way to get a league point with the one race that normally would take 15 to achieve and is obviously stacked in favour of the team that has 2 big guns.

On balance, it's probably not something the sport "needed"

It has been proposed before, by myself and others, that the riders in Heat 15 would not be eligible for a Super Heat. That would negate a 2 x Big Guns team's advantage.

I got the same email and queried this with them as my promo period does not expire until 20th October. Their response was: You can stream on same price until end of your promo subscription, that is October and as per the recent changes, you'll be charged 33.99. And yes, as your last charges with same price will be until 20th September 2025.

So I should be charged £15.49 until mid October then £33.49 thereafter unless I cancel, which I will.

Thanks for clarifying. I am on the same deal. 👍

I've just followed the fanseat link while connected to VPN and the price was €14.99 for the package. This was while connected "from the USA" so I assume I'd get the English language (Ermolenkish) commentary with that?

Thanks for the tip Iain. Changed my VPN to USA and got the €14.99 package!

Saved a tenner against the UK price! 👍

Just read on the updates Sonny Springer is retiring.

Big shame, he certainly had a lot of potential.

If the reasons are personal, then that should be the end of it, but if not, maybe the BSPL should ask this promising rider why he sees no future in the sport for himself.
