  1. The 250 lads will be riding at Mildenhall this Sunday (October 14th) with a six heat match , Mildenhall v The Dragons. This will take place during the Shareholders Junior Championship with the heats taking place where there are natural breaks for two rides on the trot after heats 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and before the Final (heat 22). So with 28 races on the agenda and with reduced admision prices of £10 adults, £8 concessions, £2 for the 5-15's and under 5's free this is a good value for money meeting. Parade at 4.20 and 1st Race 4.30. Either Tom or I will post the teams once we have them finalised.
  2. Thanks Tom --will talk about the format in next few days then. Perhaps a 6 heat 4 man per team meeting ??
  3. yes there will be several reserve races with possibly 8 riders involved with 2 reserves per team. We will confirm these in due course but likely to include : Henning Loof, Matt Wright, Mark Thompson, Shane Henry, Jerran Hart, Kozza Smith (if he hasn't returned to Oz), Wayne Dunworth and Aaron Baseby. Will also have some races from several age groups and classes from the Norfolk Junior Grass Track club.
  4. I am looking forward to the 250cc lads coming to Mildenhall on Sunday 14th October. I am working with Tom Naylor on which riders are coming so I can decide as to what we exactly do --individual races or if we can get 8 then a mini-match . This will be part of the Shareholders Junior Trophy with a great line-up with the meeting sponsored by meeeting will go out when there are natural breaks in the 20 heat formula after heats 4, 8 ,12, 16, 20 and between the semi-final and grand Final --so that will mean some 28 races on the afternoon!!
  5. On behalf of Jason King and Mildenhall may I apologise for his non-appearance at Swindon. You cannot anticipate a motorway being closed like this in tragic circumstances with thoughts going out to the family involved in the fatality. Jason did all he could to get there and we were in constant contact as I let the referee and the BSPA representatives know the situation. At least Chris Schramm , who took his rides is a Mildenhall asset!! I have the special tyre Jason would have used and will be auctioning this off to the highest bidder towards his fine! His van was finally turned around on the M4 not long after the Final --some 5 and a half hours or so after he had to stop.
  6. May I pass on my congratulations to little Sarj --bet he had a smile a mile wide (as did mum and dad!!). Nice one !!
  7. Certainly improved from his debut night against us up at Edinburgh and on the pace. Nice to see your Fen Tigers icon there Herman!! Got your bikes moved up yet ready for a spin??
  8. Kyle is really looking forward to it. Thanks go to everyone who has made it possible --including Anders who was most helpful . Just trying to arrange borrowing a rolling chassis for Kyle for the meetings he will do for Team Dalakraft till the end of the season.
  9. Sorry to hear the news of the passing of Speedy Pete.
  10. Well done Fred!! For any Lego fans wanting to help with his expenses for the GP Final in Denmark in September he is having some pit shirts done in his colours of grey, red and white which will sell at £30 with all profits going to the trip fund. Orders can be e-mailed to me at : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk
  11. What problems did Darcy have with the machinery ? Congats to Taylor and Alex.
  12. He might not make it this time tigerblues but he'll be giving a damn good go --but he will make it eventually mark my words!! Very proud of the boy . Amazingly before he went and we had a long talk we thought 8 might just do it and 9 would be safe --and it was!! Any sponsors out there willing to get behind the boyand back him????
  13. From everyone at Mildenhall --well done Lego!!! We are so proud of you mate!! He has become a legend very quickly at West Row and did himself and the club proud with a brilliant showing in Lonigo. He is quite clearly a rider who will make it to the top --just needs a big sponsor or two to get behind him to buy some engines. and to answer Speedguy --yes dad Fred is still racing --and I know he was a very proud dad last night in Italy along with Sean Wilson who was out to support Kyle. I just wish I could have been in two places at the same time and been along side Lego in the pits --but hey what a night --a great win over King's Lynn at home then Lego doing so well. It was quite funny as those who stayed behind in the bar at Mildenhall waited with high hopes as I was getting updates from Lonigo and every time my phone beeped with a new text message the place went silent --but it wasn't silent when the one came through he had won the run-off and was through!!
  14. You can say that again Rob B!! But all sorted and young Lego is out on the ferry today and heading for Italy. Quite a rush to say the least --and I've got to meet up with him on the way to bring him his GTS covers which were picked up last night at 9pm and his methanol. Just wish I could have gone with him but with two meetings this weekend there was no chance!! I take it that there are 8 going through from each semi ?
  15. Can I thank Tomas Pozrl for e-mailing me the draw. Meant I could get on with getting Kyle organised !! Bit of a rush to get everything done though.
  16. Thanks Mummy fairy!! Tried to find out off Armando and he thought in next few days. Pretty rushed though as ferries have to be booked. hotels and then they will leave midweek to drive to either venue. Just wonder what will happen if the Swedish meeting was rained off on Friday ??? Seems a bit rushed really --pity there wasn't a few weeks to get things organised. Just hope Kyle gets Lonigo as that will be easier to get organised --already have his hotel sorted if he gets that one!! Just a pity I won't be able to join him as have a home meeting on the Sat (7th) and away on the Sunday at Newport!!
  17. now i just need to convince more people about the macdonald brothers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blimey the one of them hasn't been in Coronation Street for years ???!! (although the rumour is that the one who has also rides for Sheffield at No. 1!!) --sorry Ricky!!
  18. As the final qualifier is not until next Friday when will the semi-final draw be done as the meetings are the following weekend in Italy and Slovenia ? Doesn't leave much time for planning where a rider is going and making the necessary arrangements !!!
  19. Yahoo!!! well done Lego --when are where are the semis?? Just had text off him asking if I'm coming to semi-finals with him.
  20. did wonder about that but it was not clear . Anyone know if there will be any updates from Terenzano anywhere ?---lots of Fen Tigers (and Sheffield ones ) plus the Canadian Lego followers who are interested.
  21. Are the above updates definitely on tonight from Terenzano ??
  22. Thanks Iris. Got a text this afternoon to say that Tomas Suchanek had finished 2nd and it looks like he lost a run-off for 1st by those results. Well done Tomas. Any idea the date and venue for the Final ?
  23. How many go through from each meeting to semi-finals ? Four ?
  24. Only one I know is Kyle Legault at Terenzano !!
  25. good to see the bids on the increase on the last day --just await the last minute rush.
