  1. any idea of full list of scorers ? Thanks
  2. Looking at the list of when the fence is next staying up after a meeting I can put some 250 races on after the Somerset home match on Sunday June 1st. Will send out invites to the ones on my list --any others let me know if you can make it . Thanks.
  3. thanks Rhys. he rang me off the other one and I saved it in the phone!!!
  4. As mentioned we have two bookings for the 250 lads at Redcar on Saturday June 14th and Sat July 26th. Will try to contact all those on my list to confirm who can make either or both dates. Any newcomers can call me on 07801429304 or e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk Jayne Moss has also said she will put a few second halves on for us at Buxton and I am talking to several other promoters to sort out some bookings. Laurence
  5. Yes and that includes young Paul Fry who was certainly going very well on he TV tonight at the IOW !! Nice one Fryer.
  6. Would have loved Marc to have been there Paddywack --I want ALL the 250 boys to get as much track time as they can and progress.
  7. The photographer who took your picture (hopefully for use in the Speedway Star ?) was John Hipkiss. Also a big thank you to Pete Ballinger at Clean Cut Sports who stayed on to film the lads (no doubt they will be after a copy !!) and we will also use it as training aid to analyse their riding to help them develop. And to answer boss2 I would think that CVS would like to have the lads back at some stage in the season.
  8. Well done to the lads tonight. It was all a bit rushed with a late finish to the EL match but they got to the end. Joe Newey was unlucky to miss out after crashing and being caught by Conor Dwyer who couldn't miss him in Ht 2 and his bike was a bit of a mess with the front end badly bent and amazingly his back sprocket bent as well. Ht 4 saw an on the line win for Rhys over Adam, who learned a lesson about looking behind too much in a race, with the unbeaten Tom third. In the end it was a tie for 1st spot between Rhys Naylor and Tom Stokes on 10 with Adam Portwood on 8 and Conor Dwyer on 4. The important thing was the lads got track time, enjoyed it and picked up two bookings to appear at Redcar after two Saturday CL meetings. Ht 1 Stokes, Portwood, Naylor, Dwyer 2 Naylor Dwyer Newey F/x 3 Stokes, Portwood 4 Naylor, Portwood, Stokes, Dwyer 5 Naylor Dwyer 6 Stokes Portwood Well done lads !!! Commiserations to Joe on his bent bike.
  9. Well looks like we will go with 5 riders in a six heat individual event. Unfortunately Lloyd Barrett ( son of former rider Wayne) is missing as he has exams at school on Tuesday and it's a long way back from Wolves to the West Country. Taking part will be : Rhys Naylor, Adam Portwood, Tom Stokes, Connor Dwyer and Joe Newey. Be nice to see a good number of fans stay on to watch the kids in action.
  10. Well Canada should be Kyle Legault -I know he wants to tride but whether he will be fit enough by then is debatable.
  11. Space for two more 250 riders for Monday ---call me on 07801 429304 or e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk
  12. Thank you one and all. Communication made and all being well we have six 250 riders in action on Monday night in a six heat individual tournament. Full details to follow. Hopefully the fans will stay on to watch the young 'uns in action.
  13. Andy --have sent you a message about this
  14. Need contact details for : Joe Newey, Lloyd Barrett, Nathan Stoneman, Brendon Worville, Connor Dwyer if anyone has them please.
  15. We have arranged for a 2nd half for the 250's at Wolverhampton next Monday (Bank Holiday) May 5th. Will be contacting those whose numbers I have but ask for those interested in riding to contact me on 07801429304 or e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk It will be a 6 heat formula and just working out if it will two teams of three or four -dependent on the numbers. Laurence Rogers
  16. Thank you Stephen . I have sent a PM to Paddywack --whoever he may be --to ask him/her to stop posting these criticisms / comments and have asked the moderators to trace via the IP address who it is. I did respectfully ask for all this to STOP. I am attempting to sort everything out and take the pressure away from the parents then as an independent person with no favourites (not that there have been any but I don't have any) or personal interest in any rider I can get things organised for them and arrange as much track time as possible at as many venues as I can arrrange. This is for the long term good of British Speedway and these riders. Thank you. Laurence Rogers
  17. Neil --well said. I had a talk with all the parents and the lads on Sunday and also individually. I have offered to help co-ordinate the 250 lads etc and liaise with # Name Removed #, Graham Jones, Graham Reeve and Mark Loram who have overall responsibility for the Under 21's downwards. I have spoken to most of them and offered my help with the Under 15's and 250's and will be getting the contact details for all the lads over the next week or so. Can I PLEASE ask for comments that have been appearing on her to STOP. I am trying to sort all this out for everyone's good --both short and long term. Thanks Laurence Rogers
  18. As discussed add Mildenhall to that list as I want to put 250 lads out on a regular basis at West Row.
  19. It's Robbie who is due to have laps after the meeting on Sunday to see if he is fit enough to return at Redcar on Thursday. Armo has meetings at Plymouth on Friday and Weymouth on Saturday so I can't see him travelling home via Mildenhall for a few laps ??
  20. Now have a space , maybe two for the 250's on Sunday -- if interested e-mail me at : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk or call 07801429304
  21. We are having, for the 2nd time this season (and we've only had two meetings so far!!) , the 250 cc lads in the 2nd half. Booked in so far are : Adam Portwood, Rhys Naylor and I await confirmation off Marc Owen and Tom Stokes. They were very entertaining last time and it's great to see them get track time anywhere.
  22. Spoke to Mark after the meeting and he was disappointed . In his first one he missed the gate and was clamped down by Dan Halsey when he went to pass him on the inside and almost went on the centre green. In his second he was chasing Lee Smart when he picked up too much drive and crashed hurting is ankle. He went out for his third ride although perhaps shouldn't have and the ankle hurt him too much. He then pulled out of the meeting.
  23. Cheques in the post!! Didn't see you at Wolves so can you post to me please!! Ta muchly.
