Could be a day for two good open meetings close to each other then?
Newport at 1pm for the Tim Stone Memorial, Prince of Wales Trophy then Swindon at 6pm. Puk and Mads are riding in both so there should be a steady stream of cars leaving Queensway Meadow on to the M4 to Swindon I would think.
Two lots of methanol in one day to start the 2009 season --sounds good to me --how many are going to do the two meetings then ????
Only a few I know.
CH (9) 80-1 John Jones
Oxford (5) chasing Newport unknown --Jon Erskine
Bradford (1) 72-1 Chris Roynon
Cradley Heath (2) 71-2 Andrew Bearne
Crayford (1) Chris Harrison
will keep looking to see if I can get any more

...and the Carmarthen track at the Showground is still there and used for tractor pullls several times a year ---and no sign of the hotel development that was given as an excuse for not allowing speedway to continue there.
I know that Dean Felton went down there last year and drove his car around the track "for old times sake!!".
What a waste!!
The Surfaris (or something like that!!). I introduced this at Cradley for 5-1's and used it at other tracks. Nice to know it is still used . Also had "Oh No!! " for an away 5-1.
Had text from NZ that Grant Tregoning has retained his NZ Under 21 title again ---congratulations to him and his back up team especially Ronder McKinlay.
Hans was known as the Main Dane.
What do you want to know about Erik ? Having known him since he came to the Uk, acted as his manager and wrote his first book "Champ" , i might be able to help you with some background Jim --let me know .

I've got Pete to register on BSF and he's been trying to log on tonight --unsuccessfully so far by the look of it. So watch out for 'Smurf' on here soon!!
