  5. Superb session. The track rode really well , didn't cut up and looks brilliant --Roll on March 15th and the Prince of wales Trophy. No training school next Sunday .

  7. After the relaying of the track this week there WILL be a Training School at Newport on Sunday (Feb 22nd) starting at 11am (Gates open 9.30) Numbers are restricted this week so you need to book please with Helen on 07976755684. (No. now corrected --sorry!!)
  8. .Just in case anyone was heading for Newport on Sunday there is NO training school this week as track work commences this weekend with the big motorway blade arriving and the air fence going up. It may well be that there will no more schools before the season --but will post to confirm this as soon as decision is made on this. Thanks to all the lads who have been to the schools this winter from the Malletts, Kevin Brown and myself

  10. Track looking ok according to Nick --so action starts at 11am with gates open at 9.30.
  11. Just spoken to Nick at the track. It has been well tyre packed and there is only some surface water which they are brushing off --so it is ON!! As mentioned this could well be the final session before the season --all depends on how the track relaying and bedding in goes. We would like to get one more in and will keep people updated --but hopefully there will be a good turn out tomorrow especially going by the number of calls and texts I have had today so far.

With the track due to be re-laid and a blade coming in on Sun Feb 15th this Sunday's Training School at Newport could be the final one before the season --although this has not yet been confirmed. Gates open at 9.30 and the training session runs from 11am - 3pm. All Solos £ 35.00 (including speedway, grasstrack and quads) SCB day licences are available at £ 10.00. Juniors up to 50 cc £ 20.00, Juniors over 50cc £ 35.00 Sidecars £ 65.00 (including SBC licence) Bike hire is available - please call with enquiries Any other enquiries please call Helen on 07976 755684.

  16. Unfortuntely the Newport Training School tomorrow has been called off (the first one lost this winter since re-opening). Next session will be next week --Sunday Feb 8th 11-3.
  17. As I remember too. But was well supplied with VB, Tooheys etc from the Hernes, Myers and Jones families!!
  18. The good old 'Esky' !! Remember being at John Oliver's house and Olly his dad said "bring the 'Esky' to the car Laurence". I just stood there looking bemused until I was told what an esky is!!
