  1. My online bet has not been refunded and is carried forward, guess the same applies.
  2. Goodnight Speedway RIP. Put back 10 years tonight, the overall unprofessionalism of the 'sport' has come home to roost!!!!
  3. Probably Eric Hockaday. Cradley 43 Edinburgh 35
  4. And who exactly would you have wanted through? They were the pick of the bunch, and if you think someone like Gjedde deserved a spot, well he was out of his depth yesterday and not worthy of a qualifying spot. same goes for BJ who made up the numbers. Only shocks were PK, Ulamek and L Dryml, and the later should hopefully get an automatic seed as he would have been there but for his injuries. PK also deserved a spot, and was favourite to win the meeting. Ulamek started brightly but faded, and all the others missed out because they were not good enough! Easy tiger , don't recall making any reference to Charlie deserving a spot at all. I just think these 6 will weaken the competition as a whole, mainly because riders of a better calibre will be dropping out of this years competition. I believe the qualification system needs looking at to ensure as near to the best riders in the world as possible participate in the GP's.
  5. Must agree with ROG H, a pretty uninspiring set of qualifiers. well done to them anyhow, but can't see any enhancing the GP setup next year.
  6. Sorry, can't find any reference to it in the Speedway Stars of that time

  19. Can anyone help me out please. I'm working on a Website, which hopefully will include all riders who've appeared in British Speedway since 1965 (gulp!!). Can any of you Crusaders give me some 'gen on a P.Furniss who rode for you at Middlesbro on 3rd July 1969, as he doesn't appear on the Crusaders website anywhere?? Ta
  20. Personally i'm too naffed off with the constant stupid rule changing to even bother!!
  21. Gawd help us! Are they shipping Arlington en bloc to Denmark then
  22. Sky are providing Speedway with more exposure than ever, those of you who are constantly whining about their coverage should cast your minds back 5 years. Speedway has no divine right to TV coverage and the fact Sky choose to put it on Extra is their right, we are a minority sport and it's only rarely that Sky treat it as so.
  23. Ah! a cracking performance considering i could barely see straight!!
