Joszef Petrikovics was a Hungarian. The high point of his career was to qualify as reserve for the 1989 World Final, although he didn't get a ride. He ranked just below Adorjan and Tihanyi in the Hungarian pecking order during the late 80's and early 90's. King's Lynn did show some interest in signing him, but nothing materialised. Unfortunately, that '84 U-21 Final is best remembered for the fatal accident to Leif Wahlmann. Now where did i put my anorak???

Buddy Robinson is an American who only rode in this country for Exeter in '84. I think he averaged about 5.5 and was regarded as a decent prospect. Leif Wahlmann was Swedish and also only rode in '84 and was on loan from Poole. He was only about 18 and was making pretty good progress. Tragically, he was killed in the European U-21 Final (now called the World U-21 Final) at King's Lynn following an accident with Andy Smith.
