  5. I don't think it's Pat Clarke. I'm sticking to Gerry Hussey for the time being. Another thought about the rider on the far left kneeling. Reg Fearman anyone? I'm positive it's a Courtnell brother.
  6. I think Rye House 1 number 6 is Nigel Leaver
  7. Terry Courtnell. I believe he was killed in a car accident in S.Africa in the mid 50's

  12. Joszef Petrikovics was a Hungarian. The high point of his career was to qualify as reserve for the 1989 World Final, although he didn't get a ride. He ranked just below Adorjan and Tihanyi in the Hungarian pecking order during the late 80's and early 90's. King's Lynn did show some interest in signing him, but nothing materialised. Unfortunately, that '84 U-21 Final is best remembered for the fatal accident to Leif Wahlmann. Now where did i put my anorak???
  13. You're an absolute star Thanks very much!!!!! Must have been Robin's long lost cousin three times removed!!
  14. Can anybody shead any light on a M.ADLINGTON who score 3 points for Ellesmere Port at Crayford in 1975??? I assume he's some relation of Robin??
  15. I'm perfectly lightened thanks. Couldn't really give two hoots what anyone says about anyone else to be honest. Just another case of double standards!!
  16. What's the usual spiel that's rolled out every time someone makes a slightly contentious remark about a riders ability?? "Be careful riders read the Forum, they're only human, you'll hurt their feelings.blah..blah...blah" Well, it seems to me that some of the people who are first to jump on posters in that manner are the ones calling Bruce a "minger"!! Usual Forum consistency at work!!!!
  17. Buddy Robinson is an American who only rode in this country for Exeter in '84. I think he averaged about 5.5 and was regarded as a decent prospect. Leif Wahlmann was Swedish and also only rode in '84 and was on loan from Poole. He was only about 18 and was making pretty good progress. Tragically, he was killed in the European U-21 Final (now called the World U-21 Final) at King's Lynn following an accident with Andy Smith.
