W tutejszym szpitalu przejdzie on szczegółowe badania. Gafurov bardzo chce wspomóc swoich klubowych kolegów w walce o ligowe punkty; niestety podczas feralnego biegu zniszczeniu uległ jego najlepszy motocykl. Miejmy nadzieję, iż badania w rybnickim szpitalu wykluczą jakąkolwiek kontuzję sympatycznego żużlowca The online translation is typically sketchy, but mentions back pain and that he has travelled to Rybnik. Are any of our Polish friends able to translate please??
  2. Adams 12/1 at Corals, had a tickly twenty on that. Also had a wee charity bet on Bjarne at 33/1.
  3. Exactly as i would expect. If this is the norm what exactly is Mark's problem with signing the form as he will be at the re-arranged fixture anyway??
  4. Hmm, the Moggo situation is an odd one. I agree that it would not have been too difficult to send a directive out with the forms advising of the stricter implementation this year.
  5. It's a game of opinions Tabby. If what you say is correct, please enlighten as to what the issue is with re-arranged fixtures.
  6. It is mercenary, most Speedway riders simply chase the biggest bucks and have little regard for the fans of the teams they ride for in that respect. That's the bottom line with the Loram issue in my opinion. He won't sign up to British re-arranged commitments in case he misses some bigger pay packet elsewhere.
  7. Nope, but you have to expect a riders home federation to have most pull. We've had enough experience of that at Swindon over the past few weeks. I expect Gafurov to put Russian commitments first, Miedzinski Polish ones and therefore English riders should put their home fixtures first too.
  8. I'm sure he is, but the crux of his issue with re-arranged fixtures is that he isn't necessarily prepared to put his English commitments first, whether they be re-arranged or not.
  9. Spot on. My first impression when i read the article was that Mark was just too arrogant to think he had to complete the necessary admin. And as you rightly state, the ELRC and Pairs are down to averages and Test and WC matches down to Middlo selection. All this form does is stipulate that the rider agrees to honour these commitments, no guarantee that they'll be invited to British Final. The fact it's not been implemented in the last 3 years doesn't make it right. Fill the appropriate forms and there's no issue...end of, really.
  10. I wonder if some people on here have watched any speedway this year. How the hell can anyone pick Norris??
  11. That's why i specified BL CHK, maybe i should have said BL era.
  12. Simmo's BL career was as follows: West Ham(65,66,67),KingsLynn(68,69,70,71,72,73,74,86,93),Poole(75,76,77,78,79,80),Wim bledon(81,82,83,84),Swindon(85),Hackney(86,87),ArenaEssex(89)
  13. Blimey, touchy aren't we?? How do you know i haven't got constructive criticism and what difference would knowing my real name make?? As you ask, the main subject matter was about a rider that doesn't particularly interest me and i got the impression it was a book plug in disguise. The earlier editions had far more 'off the wall' articles in my opinion, this one was more mainstream. The book extracts are creeping in which, to me, aren't what the essence of the magazine is about. I enjoyed the Bob Radford and Mike Letch articles, but the rest did come across to me as perhaps ideas were running a little dry. Personally i would like more behind the scenes, thought provoking articles, similar to those above and the excellent Edward Jancarz piece a few editions ago. Also, more features about some of the lesser lights rather than top riders who feature in all other mags. There you go, an opinion. Sorry i didn't lie and say i thought everything was marvellous in the last one...that's life! By the way the majority of the other 12 editions have been a fascinating read. Andy Freegard.
  14. I hope issue 14 returns to the standards previously set. Issue 13 was poor in my opinion.
  15. Best of luck to the other 14 riders for this years Championship (TRick apart). Hopefully someone will step up to the plate and deny the selfish, manipulating World Champion a 7th title. In particular i hope Rico or Scottly Pickles can bring home a GP win and both ensure a top 8 place.
  16. He hasn't and neither have some of the Hungarians i listed. Thread title doesn't stipulate British League though. In respones to Puma. John and Johnny Jorgensen are different riders. Also you're missing another Finn Jensen (Eastbourne 1983). And it should be Stefano Alfonso. If it's BL only you want then Kurt Bogh, Zsolt Boszormenyi, Zoltan Hajdu, Joszef Petrikovics, Laszlo Szatmari, Laszlo Bodi, Zoltan Zeke and Patrick Hougaard have never ridden for a British team.
  17. Doing a history pf the British League site Iris. Only up to 1994, hence anyone after that is not in my database yet! A few of the names i've listed there are riders i know who haven't ridden over here. Allan Fog rode a few matches (slowly) for Sheffield in 1993.
