I believe so, he's definitely still around and in reasonable fettle.

Having been sad and looked it up. Bob Kilby set the record at 68.8 in 1975 v Cradley
  10. Jeremy Luckhurst was still using a Monkey Mask when he made a comeback for O*ford during the late nineties. They should be compulsory even now, they ruled!
  11. He concluded his career as follows Cradley(65,66,67),Sheffield(66,67),LEaton(69)

    Eadon

He also rode 1 meeting for Swindon in 1965. Passed away in 2002 i believe.
  13. As he took his own life some 7 years after retiring, i'd be surprised if the fact he rode Speedway was a contributory factor.
  14. There was definitely a league in 1976. I seem to remember Bert Harkins competed in it (for Bakerfield or something similar). And i have Eddie Reeves and Dave Giffard in my head as having done likewise.
  15. KEITH MILLARD Exeter(81,82,83,84), Swindon(82), Peterborough(84),RyeHouse(85),MiltonKeynes(87) NEWENT ENG 18.11.1964 British U-21 Champion 1983
  16. Nermark and Holder have both been there before, despite Nermark saying he hadn't in the SS this week! He rode in a Swedish u-21 side alongside the likes of Bergstrom, Kramer, Late Kenny Olsson and the mighty Tobias Johansson back in the early 2000's when we were Prem League.
  17. Henka was done more than once. Drinking and driving seems a pretty regular pastime amongst quite a few riders.
  18. Didn't Lindback give up on Speedway half way through last season?
  19. Spot on regarding neutral venues. With all due respect the likes of Kerr, Leverington, Kramer and Schramm amongst others were hardly going to drag the locals out from their Sunday afternoon kips.
  20. Not to mention the line up was absolutely garbage! The fact that the winner barely scrapes a point on hi EL visits shows the almighty chasm between the leagues.
