Last year I stayed in Krakow (flew direct from Bristol) and took the train to Tarnow on the Sunday for Speedway.
It's a straight run on the train, left Krakow at 13:00 and was back by 20:00.
They're not too hot this year though, teams like Wroclaw, Zielona Gora or Rzeszow will be the closest matches with Tarnow.
Must agree with you Paulco. Leigh is an absolute legend, but his performances at both Slovenia ans Sweden show why he is very unlikely to go the final step.
As soon as conditions have got less than ideal, his self preservation kicks in. He looked one of the least confident riders on Saturday - with perhaps on Kasprzak looking as timid.
For what it's worth - I though Tomasz was a lucky lad to stay in the re-run and had blatantly turned left on AJ.
Reserves in Poland must be u-21 riders, they stay there for the season. There is no minimum ride rule in Poland, in fact it's quite common for riders to not even get a race.
I must agree, watcing this stuff just shows how poor British Speedway really is. Although having said that, the ELiga teams look less evenly balanced than normal this year, with Tarnow particularly gash!
Riders like Bjarne Pedersen, Andreas Jonsson and Chris Harris in the 2nd division shows how Promotion and Relegation can work if the infrastructure is in place.
