  3. I've never heard of a F.Reeves. As that meeting was at Boston in 1978 (Eddie rode for Boston that year), I reckon it was Eddie and the 'F' is a typing error.

  8. There's no way Matt Ford will let Rosco have AP on a 4 now he's won the SPOTY! The ready supply of whooshes must be reaching an all time low following this thread!! I can't believe these people are allowed out on the streets without supervision!
  9. Interesting, maybe British Speedway does lead the way in some things after all??
  10. He was second in the Polish u-21 with 14 points, but that on the 11th.
  11. Err.....it was a German League Play-Off meeting. Seems reasonable to try his injury out in a lesser meeting, the day before a play off match in the UK.
  12. He rode in Germany on the 19th, can't find anything about any Polish meeting.
  13. Usual sour grapes and whining from Matt Ford when he gets turned over. You can drop a rider for your number 8 whenever you like. No rules broken, nothing to see here - move along!
  14. Octavio Nano should be Ottaviano Righetto (ex Eastbourne) The other Italian on the tour was called Battaglia. He didn't ride in any of the matches though.

  16. The excellent "A-Z of Post-War British League Riders" CD for the 1940's by Hugh Vass and Matt Jackson has the following info for Cyril: 1946 - Birmingham 1947 - Stoke and Tamworth 1948-1949 - Tamworth 1949-1951 - Leicester 1951 - Birmingham 1952 - Leicester, Long Eaton and Birmingham 1953 - Leicester
  17. Second part of the meeting was much better, but the first hour or so was pants. I switched to Dragon's Den at one point. Well Done to Team GB.
  18. http://wwosbackup.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=mriders&thread=1868&page=1 He also rode under the pseudonym of 'Charlie Brown'

I wasn't necessarily making one, apart from providing people info on Sage's career. Bit touchy I reckon!! Very nice they are too, Norman!
