  1. The team average situation at first green sheet time is "to be clarified" This is direct from one of the promoters and ties in with Chris Louis' press release. So truth is, nobody knows yet what you can do when team and rider averages naturally settle.
  2. Be fun when those riders over twelve get a real average and teams have 3 or so points to play with!!
  3. Not really. It's been tried and failed more than once. Love to know how this average thing is going to work...
  4. Quite... All bluster on the face of it
  5. Guest riders Doubling-up for starters...
  6. Sounds like none of the big issues have been addressed once again....
  7. Promotion and relegation again!!! How many tries?

  9. First speedway meeting for a very long time that I've enjoyed watching. Amazing what a difference it makes when riders give a toss.
  10. He missed out on 3 league wins. Rode for Halifax in 1965 and joined Swindon in 1966 - Halifax won the league in 1966. Left Swindon in 1967 to join Coventry - Swindon won the league in 1967. Returned to Swindon in 1968 - Coventry won the league in 1968!!
  11. Fair play to the Poles. They know they have the best hand to play and that riders won't jeopardise the top dollar they get there. As regards legality, how is this any different to any other contractor agreement where it's stipulated they can't provide their services elsewhere? Simply conflict of interests surely? Wouldn't get this issue if speedway was a proper team sport with one rider, one club .

  13. A reward for the hard season he had appearing in nearly every meeting in both main leagues!!
  14. Fair play to Poole, pulled another one out of the bag. Swindon's season has drifted to the point that play offs are on a knife-edge, Poole never dither and their results say it all.
  15. The point referred to Morton as World Champion. He never got near winning a World Individual Final and had an average record at best. Many other riders can claim Pairs or WTC wins without being anywhere near top notch at an individual level.
  16. Pretty obvious, he couldn't gate for toffee. Only an average rider at world level.
  17. Drugs n speedway riders is nothing new.
  18. Great, absolutely delighted he scored so well for a play-off rival. Bloody stupid sport!
  19. What a waste of time that statement is. The kid really is either ill-advised or a complete idiot. World Champion and continually turning his back on anything to do with UK speedway when it needs him most.
  20. Attention seeking again. Must be time for another tattoo.
  21. Can't see why people have an issue with this - it's a no brainer. Yes, Woffinden is using British speedway as he chooses, but so do virtually all international standard riders - and some that aren't!! I've little or no interest in watching speedway these days but this can only help boost interest and attendances for the latter part of the season.
  22. Spot on. Hardly anyone watched the old second halves and most of the riders nowadays would be away down the road instead of riding.

  24. I think he would have turned out ok, given time and luck with injury. He only actually had one ride at home in a league match.
