  1. Ex-Swindon star and world finalist George White passed away on Friday aged 86.
  2. Absolutely agree. Shawn was streets ahead of Kelly, as was Sigalos.
  3. I assume it means any rider who has ridden full-time in the GP.
  4. I can only assume it means former full-time GP riders too.
  5. Who knows? Ambiguous as ever....
  6. I guess PK is covered by the "riders out of UK for a season"
  7. Tobiasz Musielak has tweeted that he has signed for next season.
  8. The one rider over 8 rule makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Why not let teams build to the points limit as they wish? Once again team continuity is dismissed, yet any new top-liners are also forced out. Just adds additional constraints for the sake of it.
  9. I saw a post on Twitter earlier today stating that former Coventry and West Ham rider Antonin Kasper had passed away this morning. Antonin snr was the father of ex-Hackney man the late Toni Kasper.
  10. Congratulations/commiserations in advance to Lasse Bjerre and Josh Bates on their promotion/relegation to/from the Premier League
  11. Nobody here saying you can't win. Just Mr Shovlar getting all a bit over-excited!!
  12. Monday was my first meeting in three years. If the crowd can be considered decent, the game is in even bigger bother than I thought! Walked straight in at after 7 and great swathes of empty space.
  13. Doyle was lucky. However, it was announced over the tannoy prior to the rerun that the ref was telling Andersen to stay still
  14. Wow, forward planning to cover an injured rider - genius from the Mighty Rosco!!
  15. Doubling up at reserve only and for young British riders. Two riders share a position. Neither the current DU system nor guests have any place in a so called professional sport.
  16. My only requirement is for the farcical doubling-up and guest situations to be removed. If this is supposed to be a team sport then it needs to become one; it's a million miles from it at the moment. Frankly, the fans and clubs are far more improtant than the riders and pandering to their every need is a large reason towards why things are where they are. The riders (majority of) only care about themselves and it's about time British speedway adopted the same attitude in a last-ditch attempt to rescue a rapidly declining position.
  17. Yet another example of a rider thinking he has a divine right to be a full-time speedway rider in the UK. He'll be gagging for "up to 50 meetings" when the current self-centred rider approach comes home to roost and the leagues collapse.
  18. My situation precisely. Chapman's comments are so off the mark it's pitiful.
