Hi Ghostwalker Many thanks for the information. As I had stated I condone what Darcy did in anyway. But it's strange that some sports their players/riders or whatever they maybe are treated differently to others. I know that professional dart players in the past have been banned for using drugs yet alcohol is aloud except on stage, where everyone must drink water.
-
Ghostwalker I totally agree with you about darts being less dangerous then speedway. But I just can't see why Darcy has been suspended from all speedway, for now. Obviously I don't condone what he did at all, and turning up at any speedway meeting while still under the influence of alcohol now matter how small the amount night be is his part was just plain stupid. But the next day he would have been sober, and as he said in a interview during the Grand Prix on Eurosport he has learnt his lesson, for what he did, and that he would do this again, in the future. By all means the authorities could monitor him or any other rider in breech of this offence. But to suspend him from all speedway - when a large fine would be suffice - I feel is a little harsh and deprives all supporters of speedway from enjoying his talents on a bike. By the way I'm not a Poole supporter in case anyone thinks I' am. You could be right there. A large fine and future monitoring of him or any other rider who attends a meeting under the influence of drink that they were supposed to be riding in I feel would be enough of punishment. Believe it or not darts is now a recognised sport. There are most likely other sports where have a drink before taking part wouldn't get you into trouble. As I have said i don't condone what Darcy did, but a total ban from speedway, for now I feel is a little excessive.

So Darcy was prevented for racing in the GP fair enough on the night, because speedway is dangerous enough sport. But I don't think that he should have been suspended from all speedway because of it. Just what would happen in the world of darts if players were stopped from drinking before playing their matches, their would be no-one left in any competition. Remember Australian Anthony Fleet who played against Martin Adams in the 2010 BDO World Championship he was so drunk on stage that he nearly fell off it. Nothing happened to him, as far as I'm aware, in this professional sport. I run a local dart league and I know that without drink inside over 99% of the players a large number wouldn't be able to play.

Wild Cards 2014
Robbie B replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
SGP wild cards picks just as I thought that they would be (Page 21 post 306) totally predictable I thought. If they are going to have picks at least give the U21 World Champion a go like they used to. -
Sky, must trying to save some money, as they there scrapping their Digital Text service on October 30. I doubt that the money saved will be used to buy the EL speedway rights though.

BT Sport will be FREE in October. http://www.digitalsp...in-october.html

Wild Cards 2014
Robbie B replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Personally I thinks Holder and Gollob will definitely get a wild card. And the organisers will then pick Lindgren and Jonsson, for the other two wild cards. -
Many thanks for your comments. I will be running the game again next season.
