Bash The Bookie 2015 Sec Finals Competition
Robbie B replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Maybe Racers and Royals you should only accept bets as a PM. And then post the information once the last meeting as started, for everyone then to see. That way no-one would know what the other players have picked until you have posted the info, and no-one will be able to copy others players bets. just a suggestion. -

Racers and Royals I have changed my bet before 6 pm for Round 3 of the SEC in Kumla, Sweden. I now would like my bet to be Przemyslaw Pawlick £2,000 more. I have decided to support my Swedish team Smederna rider in tonight's meeting. -
I bow down to your knowledge Norbold. I did remember his excellent record (before I was born) but I got muddled up with the details. I still doubt anyone would will ever equal it. It just goes to prove what an excellent rider he was. A sad day for his family, freinds and speedway

Very sad news on the lost of Geoff RIP Many condolences to his family and friends. His record of not only reaching a World Final 1953 but also finishing 3rd in the event while racing for a third tier team (Aldershot) in Great Britain will most likely never be equaled or bettered.

Lewis Kerr - Serious Injury
Robbie B replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Hope that Lewis makes a speedy and full recovery. Moments like this just reminds us as supporters just the risks these riders make eveytime they race for our entertainment. Even though I love speedway - I hate moments like this when a rider gets seriously hurt. All the best Lewis -
The original date for the 1981 Embassy Internationale was 29 May which the meeting was postponed. I never any reserves mentioned at the stadium for the original staging for reserve riders. Did anyone who was there know who the reserve riders for this meeting were? or whether Wimbledon announcer Ken Tozer ever mentioned them?
-
I was at the 1980 Internationale at Wimbledon but for some reason I have not written as riders in the reserves spaces. I know that Rudy Muts replaced John Davis, Kai Niemi replaced John Louis and Bobby Schwartz replaced Jan Andersson in the meeting. But did any reserve riders get nominated. I know Wimbledon ran a tight ship but surly there must have been at least 1 nominated reserve rider, which I must have forgotten to write in my program. Anyone know if there were reserve nominated or not? Just noticed Colin Richardson replacing Billy Sanders in heat 20 of my progrmme. Maybe there was only 1 reserve rider just like in 1979

I only need meeting reports from the Speedway Star & News from 1962, which is in the 23 rd June issue of this year. I do have all meeting programmes.

Many thanks for this excellent info And for the link to all this extra information. All I need is find to Speedway Star & News meeting reports for the Internationale between 1961-68 to complete a file I'm making. I have all of the 32 Internationale meeting programes. If anyone can help me out with any scans of the meeting reports - it would be brilliant.

Ove Fundin beat Barry Briggs in a run off for 1st place in the 1962 F.I.M. Speedway Internationale at Wimbledon on 11 June 1962. The program I have does not have a time listed for the run off between the two riders. Does anyone have the time of the run off? Any help would be much appreciated.
