  1. Please note that I have taken notice of the all of the potential changes if Jason Doyle does not ride on Friday. Best of luck everyone. Only a few others left to enter a team for the Race-Off
  2. Very interesting competition this year there are so many potential Champions that the game is wide-open to most players to win. But if there's a tie at the end which wouldn't surprise me then they will be joint Champions no run-offs in this game
  3. You're right I never noticed this after checking all the scores.
  4. Not a problem - thanks for pointing it out to me. i will be treble checking next time. You never know you might win again as always it will go down to crucial picks in the final and riders you don't expect scoring points while others won't be.
  5. Your team scored Lindgren 10, Lindback 11, Lebedevs 15, Bogdanovs 4, Madsen 6, Iversen 9, Sayfutdinov 10, Laguta 12 which equals 77 pts You do have 147 Pts in the league table. Ans i have double checked my scores in my spreadsheet. What I had wrong was Jepsen Jensen as 9 and not 7 and Iversen as 7 and 9
  6. All sorted now and the table has been updated. For some reason I Put Iversen as 7 pts instead of 9, and Jepsen Jensen as 9 pts instead of 7. I did put Madsen by mistake instead of Jepsen Jensen earlier. My Teams are Australia Jason Doyle (out) Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor *** Change*** USA Ricky Wells and Gino Manzares Russia Emil Sayfutdinov and Grigori Laguta (out) Vadim Tarasenko (In) *** Change*** Latvia Andrej Lebedevs and Maksims Bogdanovs
  7. All teams have now entered teams for Event 2. Best of luck everyone
  8. All players that haven't entered a team in Event Two MUST do so before the start of Event Two or they will be automatically eliminated for the competition.
  9. Change my mind again and it cost me dearly - last year it cost me first place in the competition and this time around I'm first again - but this time I'm first out of the competition Many thanks r&r for running it
  10. You just made it JamieE Riders are now on track for heat 1 of event 1 and the competition is now CLOSED to all new entries for another year. Best of luck everyone and thanks for playing the 2017 SWC game

  13. All those riders on Wimbledon's books in 1933 of course was due to the fact that Stamford Bridge closed down. And these riders followed new Wimbledon Chairman W.J. Cearns and the new company organising racing at Plough Lane called South London Greyhound Racecourses Ltd to the stadium.
  14. And also don't forget sadly that promising Wimbledon junior rider Reg Vigors was tragically killed in a race at Plough Lane during the year.
  15. I totally agree with you there gustix but there's another issue regarding Wimbledon and that's their speedway office was completely destroyed by a bomb dropped by the Germans in 1943. Who knows what paperwork was lost during because of this incident.
  16. Many thanks for your input Norbold it's nice to have the averages and some new names for the team list that wasn't in the Wimbledon programmes in 1978.

And congratulations tp the game New Champion Panthers89 Top points scorer in the Final was False dawn who scored an excellent 80 points. Just one-point more than several other players. the maximum score possible for the Final was 85 points. In next year's competition I have decided will be back using the same playing format. 18. No probs if there are other Wimbledon teams you require please let me know.
  19. It must be Stan Lemon then. All I know is what the programme states. Also I think Jack Sharpe should be Jack Sharp.
  20. In 1978 in the Wimbledon match programmes they did a series of listing all of their contracted riders for the beginning - here is what they listed for 1935. Eric Collins Vic Huxley Syd Jackson Gus Khan Fred Levis ? Lemon (sorry no Christian name in the programme) Wal Phillips Geoff Pymar Bill Rogers Claude Rye Alf Sawford Jack Sharpe Wal Morton Hope this helps out.
