If you were within the 14 day cooling off period when BT's informed you of their BT Sport price increase then you are entitled to leave your contract without any penalty under Section 29 of the Consumer Contract Regulations (2013), as BT's price increase would be considered as being an alteration of the agreed contract terms and conditions between the parties involved namely (BT and yourself), and if you had not agreed to their price increase then you would be deemed free to leave your contract with BT without incurring any liabilities (additional cost to you), Because of this BT can can only charge you for leaving your contract after the 14 day cooling off period had expired. The start date of the cooling off period would start when you received notification from BT Sport about their price increase either via letter or email. The date stated on any letter is irrelevant of this would be considered as being delivered by non-instantaneously means. Because of this the date your 14 day cooling off period starts when you received the letter from BT. If you received an email from BT then your 14 day cooling off period would start upon receipt of their email, as the delivery method would be considered as being delivered via instantaneously means. So if BT charged you extra money for leaving your contract within 14 days re-contact then and ask for a refund or open an formal complaint as they have breached the Section 29 Consumer Contract Regulations (2013), if they had charged you extra for leaving your contract within the 14 day cooling off notice period which they inform you about by law. Hope this helps.

After checking several meeting programmes from 1976. They clearly state that a team had to nominate a number eight rider so that the team could use an r/r in a meeting under the 1976 league rules. Although the rider nominated as the eighth rider wasn't always transmitted to the general public over announcements, at a meeting.

Swedish Elitserien Championship Cup
Robbie B replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
What an incredible result and what a fantastic performance from my Swedish team Smederna last night. For them to go to Vetlanda and win the Swedish league title after losing at home by 8 points in the first leg must go down as one of the finest performances by any of the speedway teams that I support. The effort and performance of all the riders and management was exceptional and just go to show that if you retain the belief that you're going to win in sport anything is possible. The team riding in heats 2 and 4 was something special and put the home-side who might have thought that they would win easily minds in doubt. I have seen this in other sports (when I was playing darts) when a team thought that they had won the league when requiring only a handful of points in their last match fail at the final hurdle due to complacency and relying on other teams members to achieve the points needed. As a Wimbledon supporter we have a direct link to Smederna not only through Tommy Jansson who must have a massive smile on his face today (just like me), but others including Bo Jansson and Stefan Salomonsson. As for Zmarzlik's exclusion it was the right decision and was uncalled for as he had the beating of Lebedevs in that race. That moment of madness by him help shift momentum back tin favour of Smederna as a 5-1 my team in that race might had started a Vetlanda fight-back. Just in case anyone states the Vetlanda were weaker without Martin Vaculik sue to illness they must remember that Smederna were without Georgi Laguta for different reasons. Lastly I must thank Dave Goddard for his excellent commentary and Free Sports and Premier Sports for screening this and other meetings from Sweden and Poland this season. plus I also must thank Ghostwalker for all of his Swedish info. Following the Swedish speedway season without this much valued information would be so much more difficult without it. Thanks for all you work each and every league season. -

Well done CHAMP and look forward to trying my best and beat you next year. No-one has retained their title yet you'll never you might be first.

I was following the competition in my spreadsheet during the heats and the leader kept changing more-or-less after every heat. It's the every year in this competition there will always be riders who scored points but for some reason fail, and others riders you don't expect to score well but do. That's why it will always go down to the final to decide the Champion. Thanks for playing Icescott and many thanks everyone else as well see you all next year.

All tables have now been fully updated
-
JamieE your team in plenty of time as you did have until the start of the meeting to enter your team. I will be updating the table straight after the Final tonight. I will do this ASAP it won't take too long to complete, Many thanks for all of the players who entered this years competition, and don't forget it will be back next year using the same playing format. Riders are now on track for heat 1 of the Speedway World Cup Final no more changes can be made to your teams. If you do you’ll be disqualified from the 2017 SWC game. So please DON'T edit your team posts. Best of luck to everyone.

I would have for certain, but to win honestly is the only way to go - cheat and and it will mean nothing in the end.
-
ha ha Thanks for posting all of your teams on your original post
-
Yes this meeting was transmitted in 4K it's still on that particular BT channel's planner. Strange that the final isn't in 4K though.
-
Yes, when Cleb Chugunov replaced Laguta in the Russian the points he scored were added to all players who didn't change Laguta. It was the same in Event 1 when Fricke replaced Doyle. My riders are Poland Maciej Jankowski & Bartosz Zmarzlik Great Britain Craig Cook & Robert Lambert Sweden Fredrik Lindgren & Antonio Lindback Russia Emil Sayfutdinov & Cleb Chugunov
-
i have seen all of the above changes. Riders are now on track for heat 1 of the Race-Off no more changes can be made to your teams. If you do you’ll be disqualified from the 2017 SWC game. Best of luck everyone.
-
Still awaiting for ShrewsburyWolf, Islander15 and mikec to enter teams for the Race-Off tonight. And of course massive changes for Laguta
-
Just posted on SGP website Laguta is OUT
-
Please don't change your riders just because there a lot of same riders in teams tonight. You're all free to pick any rider you choose.
-
BIG BIG NEWS on Laguta as a few players have seen. There's no news on the SGP website yet. I have noted the above changes if Laguta is out of tonights meeting. Many thanks to false dawn for posting the news about Laguta.
-
That;s the thing if you could pick one rider from each team - who would pick for example Sayfutdinov or Laguta etc. And then have to chose a rider from your quartet for double points the game would much tougher. The Final will some have tough choices to be made. Nothing has been decided yet. Just 3 more players to enter teams for the Race Off
-
You never know and that what make this game fun as sometimes riders will flop in a event. Only time will tell, but It certainly will be tough racing tonight. Thinking about thing I just changed Doyle for Batchelor
-
All ideas worth thinking about. Have to see what other players may also like.
-
if you're with the game runs at present then I take you vote as staying with current formula. Nothing has changed for the 2018 SWC game as everyone will be picking 2 riders per team, at present. The final decision will announced at the end of the competition. As I have asked if anyone has ideas of improving the game I do welcome them because I don't want the game becoming stale and if the players want a change that's fine by me likewise if they decide to keep the status quo that's also OK with me. Just notice on the SGP website Jason Doyle will be riding tonight for Australia
-
I will take this as a yes vote for that idea. I will remain impartial and won't vote. The players of the game will decide the final outcome. If anyone else has an idea then please do post it. Some players might moan is the replacement rider is weak because of an injury to their chosen rider. I know that it's hard to please everyone.
-
But my double points rule would be fair as a player would choose one rider per event. And everyone will have different ideas who might score the highest number of points in their team in that event. it would use the players skill and judgement to choose the correct rider from their team. It's only an idea at the moment. Would players like a one double points rider in their team for each event, or not in 2018? I know it might just an odd round and that 4 of 13 have different riders, but a game can evolve with different ideas just to add a bit of spice to it.
-
I know why players are choosing the same riders in each team, and I don't blame them at all. But there's a lack of four quality riders in some teams and I'm open to ideas to help improve things if possible to make the game a bit more fun and harder to win.
-
Not a lot of variety between the teams for the Race Off. Because The competition really needed both Greg Hancock and Artem Laguta racing so rider had more choice. So in next years competition 2018 players will be picking 1 rider only per team, and with one of them scoring double points to bring spice and some more variations between the players teams.
