I'm not against an atmosphere, but I find him aggravating - I'll not apologise for that. Oh well, I gave you chance to get the high horse out again. -

TBF, If I had the power to get Porkie to shut up I'd use it. Any old reason would do as an excuse, Rosco for an MBE I say. -
You're right, every other team would have done the same thing as Poole. However, would the outcome have been the same if Poole had been losing and trying to get the meeting off. Unfortunately, past history has shown that the interests of Sky and Poole are intertwined.

We can put this argument to bed right now. It clearly all depends on who you are. If you're a relatively compos mentis type of person you should be able to be a speedway manager without too much trouble. However, if you're the type of person who struggles to hold a biro the right way round then being a speedway manager must appear to be a very demanding job. So, all of you are right.

You're assuming the person in question has enough brain cells to realise they're not right.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Kings Lynn Stars 27.4.2015

Those will never work on their own. He needed to add 'I'm a representative of Poole speedway and this is the result we want, so in the interest of Poole Speedway Rider Safety lets pretend it's suddenly much more dangerous than before' -
I've yet to see anyone who announces their departure actually go (KKS holds the record with 243 'last' posts). A change of name is as close as they get. It'd be nice to see someone be good to their word.

When you consider it's taken them god knows how many years to twig it'd probably be handy to have the meeting a bit earlier in the year, expecting any genuinely useful decisions is blind optimism.
-
Or a desperate attention seeker. Anyone who can only get the attention they want/need by trolling (mainly) middle aged men on a speedway website really needs something better to do in life.

Exactly why I couldn't really give a stuff who wins the league this year. A season of patched up teams made up of the nearest odds and sods to be found. Yes, in a sport like speedway injuries will always play a part, but this season has really demonstrated how on its arse the sport at the top level is.

This one post should be stuck at the top of every 'What next for Speedway' thread, as we all know there's never been truer words spoken (or typed).

Shared No. 1 For 2015 El Season?

Super League? More like a Last Legs League. -
1. Is not relevant 2. Wrong, I know people who have walked as they're sick of this type of garbage from Ford. 3. Has nothing to do with this issue. 4. True, it's only sport. But if a sport can't offer a fair playing field to all competitors then it's not much of a sport at all.

TBH it was the preceding 10000+ posts that told us that.

38 posts and you've already managed 2 moronic threads - are you 12 years old?

Wolves V Belle Vue Aces (14th July 2014)
Kester replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We all like the idea of rider loyalty but surely if speedway riders are professional then they must act in order to maximise their performance and earnings. Just because people learn skills at a place of work doesn't mean they're morally obliged and beholden to that place of work ad-infinitum. Does that apply to us? I learned lots of skills that made my job possible with my current employer (I wouldn't have got my current job without learning what I'd learnt from my previous employer). Should I still be sending them a percentage of my salary? Go back to work there 2 days a week? If British Speedway is too far down then the pecking order to be of use to Tai then he'll ditch it. British Speedway may have taught him skills, but he's free to apply them wherever he likes. -
Coventry is way better than Leicester, I've seen plenty of decent meetings at Brandon. I've been twice to Leicester - garbage both times and will never go back. I've also seen Leicester on bet365 and it has been laughably bad each time. You can try and defend the track but it's total gash. If I turn the question round, can you name a track that provides as consistently bad speedway as BP? The fact that there are only a couple of fans willing to even try and defend it must tell you how awful it is.

I thought it was Poole that made Ward a good rider?
