He's got some brass neck though hasn't he, riding round afterwards endlessly wagging his finger.

Did Nigel Pearson And Chris Louis
Kester replied to T.W.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What is garbage is that you feel the need to make the same posts again and again. I've lost count of the number of threads all with the same stuff. You must be due to start another one on the General Speedway discussion section with a title like 'Pearson must go!'. He may not be perfect but he does a decent job, speedway is an exciting sport, who do you want - John Virgo and Willie Thorne? -

Agree, was a great example of brains more than brawn. -
I was expecting a horror show after this comment not the very minor differences there actually are. When the riders are on the bike you'd never tell the difference. Of course, we'll have to see tomorrow how many fans rip up their programmes and bin their Wulfsport jackets in disgust at the sheer 'unprofessionalism' on display.

You'd rather have Doolan than Lanham or Neath though.
-
Rye House? You could put together a whole other team with the points allocation that Len hasn't used up over the last few years.
-
Risk of what, having a much better rider? It's all academic anyway as it's not going to happen.
-
Gaining a sense of enjoyment at someone else's suffering.
-
Apart from one comment I don't see anything distasteful. Too many people on here have had their speedway removed from them by the zealous nature of residents and councils. I don't see anything wrong with a bit of schadenfreude when the boot is on the other foot.
-
So you're assumption is that unless I explicitly state that I don't want them to be put to death then I must actually want them to be put to death? I'm afraid that you're still talking drivel.
-
What utter nonsense, it's perfectly possible to align with an element of someone's opinion and not all. You really do like starting arguments.
-
No, I can't see where John has said that they 'should be put to death'. Please quote his words that say as much to clear up the confusion.
-
It is, but Bowden hasn't done anything stupid for a few minutes so we're just filling in time till he does.
-
If they all finish there you'll walk the league at a canter. Think you might have been a touch optimistic in a couple of places. Doolan is great, I like him very much as a bloke and a rider and hope he ends up over 9, it's perfectly possible. Risager though, he never fails to disappoint, he might get over 7 but I doubt 8. I know he's got potential but he's had that for the last 5 or 6 years and never lived up to it. The rest of the team is very solid, be interesting to see how the new Aussies fare, should be a team for the play-off at least.
-
Unfortunately, I doubt we will. I don't see any sign that he is anywhere near the form of 2008 when he was dynamite.
-
Vastly over-injured rather than over-hyped. He'd make a decent EL reserve if fit and riding well.
-
Two men don't make a team though and the rest of it is still dire. It might mean they finish tenth or eleventh rather than last though and you'd have to fancy them for the pairs.
-
And I think that's the thing with Ricky, he's always seemed inconsistent away from Owlerton. If he has an off day with Plymouth there could be some absolute maulings away from SBA.
-
This is Len your talking about.
-
He did, didn't set the world alight but showed promise I thought, it just never came together for him.
-
King's Lynn wasn't he in 2009?
-
I don't think Leicester look anything special, good top 3 but nothing to get excited about after that.
-
I've got no idea why everyone seems convinced that Sheffield will be bottom, overcome with some Tigers fans doom and gloom I think. Sheffields team is utterly dull and uninspired but will finish between 7th and 10th I reckon. It's certainly nowhere near as bad as Bowden's latest effort at a PL team.

Sadly, 1997 is an awful long time ago. Brent Werner has looked like a completely spent force for quite some time, he had an average spell at Somerset and that's about it. I doubt he will make his average or see out the season.

Well, at least one person likes it.
