He rode for the Brummies in 2014 ,...

You did, but I'm not related, or wouldn't admit to it ...

The promoter knowing what he is doing? The previous attempt at the Elite League failed because the promoter never paid anybody ...
-
I spoke to Geoff Collins a couple of weeks ago about this; he just grinned and said, 'Irons in the fire'.

The Birmingham promotion have said that there is no connection with Wolverhampton. They also know that one way to get rid of the fans would be to call the team 'Birmingham Wolves'. Not going to happen.

Unless the Sweaties get the cheque book out again!

According to the Express & Star newspaper, a consortium has been set up to try to revive the Heathens, and have secured the backing of Dudley Council, with four possible sites. They have £300,000 to finance the track. One of the consortium is Geoff Collins, owner of CovComp, who runs the spares van at Perry Barr.

Some years ago, I was involved helping a rider in the MDL and SDL. I was astonished at the indifference shown by promoters to training riders (but everyone knows that speedway riders come from Poland and Denmark, I suppose). It is good that Laurence Rgers at least is trying to do something. -
I sincerely hope that this was a joke, comrade?

You don't think that they care about the taxpayers, do you?

Depends what the 'banned substaces' were. Remember Ben Barker? -
Looking at Googe Earth, there are actually two tracks with the Alexander Stadium. While the main stadium is probably not on for speedway, there is no reason (except financial?) why a speedway track could not be built inside the second (training?) athletics track.

He did. Weren't you there?

Howarth is hardly the first rider to get a flat tyre. No-one else had any problems, nor did Howarth himself later. Phillips was probably trying the same trick which worked so well for Redcar a couple of years ago: make a fuss about the track to put off the opposition. And this was the only time in speedway history that the referee has had a standing ovation

Joe was replaced at Birmingham because he was injured. Pearson was on a 4 point assessed average, and wasn't scoring anywhere near that; he was replaced by a 2 point rider (who is scoring above that) to free up points for a third heat leader. -
You must have done ... I saw him at the Junior Championships last year; his first winning time was the same as many Championship riders'!
-
No I'm not.

All of which may be true, but it doesn't contradict what I said.

Tolley does have a promoter's licence, but as usual you are talking nonsense.
