Apparently, another company have taken over from the GRA. -
In his book, Malcolm Simmons made a comment about this being done years ago!

Please do not feed the troll. -
Probably not genuine ... he/she only joined the forum 13 hours ago!

How miserable can you get? Shanes and Paco are deservedly fans' favourites, and Morris could get back to the form which scored a maximum in his last race in 2019. Anyway, who woul;d you replace them with? Stephen Whitehouse?

BIRMINGHAM SEASON RESUMES JULY 7th
*JJ replied to Speedway fan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why? Birmingham came back from 10 down to win at Berwick by 12; and came back from 14 down at Redcar to lose by only two. Who is to say that they could not have won by more than two at Perry Barr? -
I notice that the original poster never replied to this question. What was the 'thorn in the side', Mr. Harris?

Newcastle Diamonds vs Plymouth Gladiators 4pm 27/06/2021

Tracey, Bos and I used folding chairs when we went on the northern tour in 2019, with no problems. -
Birmingham has only been postponed for three weeks, not closed.

One problem with British speedway is that it is NOT organised as clubs, as in Poland. I was once told by a promoter - and this is when it was in the National League - that "*** Speedway is a commercial organisation ... it does not do training". Which, of course, explains the attitude of most promoters, who comprise the membership of the BSPL.

Which 'old' tyre? The hard Barum tyre introduced a few years ago used to break up instead of wearing down.

Well, I did this, and a fortnight later, no copy has turned up.

I haven't been able to buy a copy of last week's Star, which I particularly wanted as the season opening edition. Can I order one, or will some be available at track shops at any time?

Allegedly, Tony Mole spent a quarter of a million in setting up the Perry Barr track: and that was in an existing stadium.

Armadale Devils v Berwick Bullets (Friday 7 May 7.30)
*JJ replied to edmon's topic in National League Speedway
Some years ago, I transported a rider to meetings. George Rothery was his main rival in Novice class at Scunthorpe back in 2014! George once smashed Chris' front wheel in an over-enthusiastic overtake, which annoyed Chris' step-brother considerably, but personally I think that it was just racing. I am glad to see that George is progressing so well. -
Why not? No Aussie with any sense would come here except for a bit of tourism or temporary work, such as riding a speedway bike.
-
On this morning's news, the talks were said to be going well. The rest of your comments is a non-sequitur: while the fuss over the Romanians was justified, I can't see that 25 million Aussies will want to come here. They are better off at home, except for a season's speedway.

There is some talk now about closer ties with Australia now that we are out of the EU, so no more need for visas for Aussies coming here, and for Brits going there.
