  1. Nonsense: Lampart has been excellent this year, I hope that he is back next year, when he should kick on. Certainly, he goes against all Brummies tradition, in that he can gate! The crowd was packed out, and saw some great racing.
  2. Apparently Holford Drive will be open tomorrow.
  3. Told off by whom? They used to rake at PB quite recently, though I noticed that there were no rakers for the televised match.
  4. I suppose that in the Holder/Lampart case, the referee did not exclude anyone, as noone fell off. If Lampart had fallen, then it would certainly have been Holder's fault.
  5. This is a mantra which people seem to trot out all the time, relating to the situation in 2021 when the track had not been touched for two years and the shale had weathered. There wasn't any dust on Monday until the last two heats. The track was watered.
  6. Well, someone was boasting that Sheff would score 60 - which with their team, they should have done - but were in fact lucky to scrape a win. And some of the tellywatchers seem to have seen a different match to those who were there.
  7. In any case, the new Labour government says that it will increase house building and simplify planning permission ... and guess what a 'brownfield site' is?
  8. They might do better to encourage more MDL/NDL teams!
  9. It is fairly obvious that there is a lack of leadership somewhere. At the last match, the Brummies riders seemed de-motivated, unlike the Oxford team who were much more determined.
  10. I take leave to doubt this. He last rode for us several years ago, in the Championship.
  11. Why? he is hardly better than riders we have already got.
  12. What makes you say that? Brennan is more likely to stay at No.5; he is the next best rider after Lindgren. Lampart at 2?
  13. Checking on Google Maps, Grays is about 30 miles from Rye House; but the Rye speedway track is still there!
  14. What's happened to Paul Bowen?
  15. History: Wolves, Birmingham and Cradley have been there for many years, back to the pre-war days when there were enough fans to go around!
  16. It's a law of TV: they've got to have a bimbo.
  17. Isn't the No. 8 there to take some of the R/R rides, not as an extra reserve?
