What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
XTC38L replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Swindon sheds a bit more light on the situation herehttp://www.swindonlinksport.com/2015/01/22/russell-vows-to-do-everything-he-can-to-resolve-visa-problems/ http://www.swindonlinksport.com/2015/01/22/batchelor-hit-by-visa-issues-but-bspa-hopeful-of-resolution/ -
unfortunately a government agency is involved and nothing ever get resolved quickly when bureaucracy is involved. Sadly i can see lots of red tape to be cleared. http://www.swindonlinksport.com/2015/01/22/batchelor-hit-by-visa-issues-but-bspa-hopeful-of-resolution/

incorrect. Their 90 day visas ran out. They tried to apply for an extension but didn't realize they had to leave the country first to do so. -

Its what the clubs require to employ non eu sportsmen. The big question is why they were removed??? If things weren't above board at the bspa id say thats a pretty likely reason. -

Its no rumor! All tier 2 visas have been cancelled and all sponsorship licenses have been removed. So unless a rider has residency or dual passport they wont be riding this year. -
dont hold your breath. It will take a while to put on a positive spin on this mess

Sounds like Ukv&i looked at bspa's books and caught them with their pants down.
-
well they are not non EU riders then are they. As i said before anyone that needs a visa is affected.
-
do tell then.
-
apparently it wont matter. The word is all non EU riders will not be permitted to ride in either league.
-
22 apparently. Anyone requiring a visa basically

After watching arthur ride in the SA title and Aus u21s id say he was still finding his feet again. Its way to early to write him off, he has improved every heat but still hasnt relaxed on the bike yet. Once he relaxes on the bike he will make big improvements and his results will show. The question is how many meetings is it going to take?
-
so bugger all really.

Sadly I think the longer this goes on the more chance ward will have the book thrown at him. This continued attempt to get off on a technicality may well leaving him wishing he took it on the chin and kept his mouth shut.

Yes they are. They are both of similar ability to Jake Allen. Jake will do well at Berwick, he can gate and is good on the bigger tracks and in the last 12 months he has got the tight tracks worked out. He is a real talent and will be a good asset for the club
