  1. He was 3rd in the last Aussie champ round last year. He's a young lad trying to make a living. I am sure he hasn't made much money and probably spent a lot trying to become and top performer. Give the guy a break. Takes a lot to go the other side of the world and leave everything behind to chase your dream...

  3. Campton has potential. Top scored for Australia in the U21 world team cup with Max Fricke and has scored maximums in the PL. It was a big year for him this year. Consistency is key in speedway. I hope this can get sorted for all the aussies!
  4. I think Chris did buy a full bike and a roller off Nicki.
  5. Were you the guy that was driving the water truck or something? Maybe you should of gone out with your hairdryer and give that a try to help it 'evaporate'. It may be dry for when we are next there in 3 weeks!
  6. Do you have any motorcycling experience? End of the day it was maybe rideable but it probably wasn't raceable. Riders safety is the key and I am sure you wouldn't have wanted to race if you could ride a speedway bike.
  7. Shocked to see Kyle in there ahead of Richard Lawson. Just got to look at recent scores and the Speedway Star Premier League averages, with him being second behind fellow Cumbrian Craig Cook and ahead of Worrall, Kennett, Barker and Auty. His Elite League results have also been good including a maximum against Poole and double figures in recent EL fixtures. 2 Maximums in his last 2 Workington fixtures. I feel he should be included in that 10 man squad.
  8. Workington don't have a fixture next Saturday so will Berwick use Richard Lawson next week after his result last night...
  9. Lawson only dropped 2 points in the May fixture last year, where he got 12+1 from 5 rides but struggled in October where all the Comets scored very poor (61-29). Not sure on Mills. Great meeting last night for the Premier League, hopefully Sky will get up to Workington in the near future.
  10. You are obviously not a supporter of Workington. You probably cannot ride a pushbike, never mind a motorbike with no brakes. Workington have one of the best young British riders so back him. The boys 18-19 for goodness sake. Give it a rest.
  11. Worky had its straights widened to 10m when Keith Denham took over in 2008! It now passes FIM standards. Not sure how it is narrow?
  12. Similar to the poles away averages then..
  13. Only had one and a half years in the EL and only rode many away tracks once or twice before. 4 years in speedway so far and going into his 5th, only rode 8 meetings in the NL which a lot of people forget. Just thinking he will improve his 3.38 average that's all. I am a Workington fan anyway, just be nice to see the lad get a team place somewhere.
  14. Richard Lawson is not even a Peterborough asset but he is more faithful and committed than Batchelor, Andersen and Iversen put together. It has cost him a job. He is British and a PL number 1 with an greensheet of just over a 3 in EL. I think he would be having his first injury free winter since he started speedway 4-5 years ago but it look like he is starting with no EL ride at this moment in time.

  16. This still makes no sense :S. Rusty and Richard were the best two riders end of 2011 in the dirt at DP. They like the same kind of track :S. Did they not have a meal after press and practice at the start of the season, to discuss things like this. The track must have been good enough for the team, to be unbeaten at home all season speaks for itself.
  17. The track didn't seem to bother Bach, Lawson, Roynon and Howarth. :S Seems a bit strange to me Skoobie?
  18. I would like to see you try and ride after dislocating your shoulder haha. Dont think I have seen anyone in 14 years of watching speedway, ride after dislocating their shoulder and putting it back in and then going out and getting a paid win around BRough park! He has had shoulder problems before so I am sure he doesnt want to make the same mistake again. Is Rene back does anyone know?
  19. Quite surprised Richard Lawson isn't guesting for any of the sides. Goes well round there whenever Workington have visited.
  20. Rene Bach will be riding for Workington along with Richard Lawson.
  21. Richard Lawson rode 2 days after he did his shoulder at Sheffield and rode on the Saturday.
