It's a farce, he may have "earned" it but really he only had too have two good meetings (the semi final - he was seeded for wining the Swedish title last year) and the Final, and then its hello GP's.... People love underdogs (even me) but save it for the leagues, this is THE WORLDS BEST... we've already seen Grzegorz Walasek and Sebastian Ulamek waste two perfectly good GP places.... and as predicted wouldn't be consistantly competative... we didn't know that Nicholls & Harris would be the worst in the series so although their slots were wasted, they were predicted to do better, and as you can tell Zorro is predicted to do terrible, Holder is expected to do alright but could have a mare, so its pointless giving it to Zorro.... but you'll get people post and say "he's earned it" bla bla bla....

Rico should get the WC (not because 1 brit should get one, becuase he's taken the time off from gps - soul searched and proved he's ready... best brit (although doesn't have the title) withdrew from the gp qualification due to illness... and really he would have a crack at the top 8. Sad truth is.... i may fear Harris may also get a WC purely because whats the anniversary at Cardiff this year.... 10 years and BSI want to make it special... and i feel one brit and a wild card may just not be "good promotion" so maybe just we may be as shocked as the begining of this year when Chris Harris got "A Gift From God" in getting his wild card... or maybe he's just still dinning on his 2007 Cardiff win....

You're talking utter bull mate.... Richardson should be the first choice! Woffy is too young and would ruin him and if he had any sense he'd turn down the WC if offered to him. Rico is the top brit, in every league - cold hard facts... 8 + average in every league and he rides in the top leagues in poland, sweden and england. Richardson also lost the British Title this year, purely because his length of time between his 5th ride and the final, which the track had changed so much - missed the gate, went for the line he was taking in his rides before hand and there wasn't the dirt there like there was earlier. He also withdrew from the GP challenge due to illness - and who replaced him... "The in form Brit" you think should get the nomination... who only scored 5 points... gotta agree with you TNT.... i think if it were up to you we'd be having two Under 21 GP series next season Darcy Ward, Tai Woffinden who are we putting in next Lewis Bridger?

Isn't he too young? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there an age limit of riding in the GP's - 18 years old isn't it, or have they scraped this?

Theres no way Bomber or Nicholls should get into the Gp's (Except if bomber gets in through the GP qualifier.) Sadly i fear for Rico because if Harris gets in through the GP challenge then perhaps Rico won't get a nomination, and the FIM may still give Harris the british nomination (if we get one!) When really, Rico deserves the brit place, because he's the top brit in the world - sure he didn't win the british championship, but he's the most consistant... top leagues in all countries he rides in and has an 8+ average in each league, whereas Harris rides top league britain, sweden and second league in poland.... not to mention Rico can beat some of the top guys week in week out....

You just can't win being british can you!? Disgusted fans that a young team was fielded... disgusted fans that danny lewis and tai were chosen, and Nicholls left out... and now they want Rob Lyon's head in the smasher for him doing a bloody good job for the resources and riders he had to play with! He did a bloody good job.... did the right tactical rides, did it early on (atleast they worked - although sweden's tactical was smart and worked out also) who seriously thought we'd be in 2nd place for as long as we did and miss out on the final in our last 2 races? Not me! GB did me proud and thats the most a GB performance thats made me proud since the Barker, Havvy, Loram, Nicholls, Richardson, Norris days!

If Nicholls will get offered the WC, can i have it instead... Harris has a chance to make the top 8 & the GP Challenge (and if both fail... will then be seeded - makes alot of sense to me ) BRING RICO BACK! He's ready to be... "THE MAN" again

TBF Rico could have got to the GP's by merrit this year... if he didn't with drawn to sickness on the semi qualifier for the GP's so unfortunatley it was just Chris Harrisky & Tai & Lewis to battle, and all went out (except Harrisky!) so really if harris makes the GP's or not, the WC for GB should be Rico. tbh Rico's been on better form than ever over the past year or so... not to mention he is technically "the best brit" only brit to race in the top 3 leagues in the world... Swedish, Poland, British (and has 8+ average in all leagues ) - all top league Bomber rides Second Division in Poland Scotty rides top leagues also but has struggled in polska & british - but has had a few good meetings in Britian, but has done better over in Sweden - but still struggled. So really, Wild Card Please Rico?

No point in hosting a semi when the grand final won't be there... the whole point is too have them both at the same track. Trainning & Racing takes place in just 2 days for Cardiff - held together well, so gives the track a meeting, time to recover then another meeting so don't see why it shouldn't hold up, seemed to hold up like a normal speedway track - if not better, only downside was boring racing.

Why not host the Play-Off & Grand Final at Cardiff in the near future for the Speedway World Cup? or host one of the Group events there? If the WC is just about two weeks after Cardiff GP why not host it there, sure the racing is mediocre and 'too safe' some say, but if a grand prix is held there, why not a world cup event, considering all the world cup tracks are just as bad as Cardiff (down to one person i shall not name for the way they set the tracks up ) -- I'm sure i'll take a battering in criticsm (sp) but it was just a thought...
