  1. Howarth puts in transfer request - if not agreed between all parties within 3 months can then go to arbitration and buying club (eg Sheffield) are told what to pay , unlikely to be 25k. depends if this is what you classify as messy

  3. If you are going on the Bukhave that started 2016 season, having been thrown in the deep end, then possibly you could have that judgement. I think anyone who has seen Bukhave ride in the latter part of last season would be astounded with your view that Konopka is more likely to be a better option I don't say he is a rider who will rise to heat leader and take the league by storm, but the improvement over the year and his performance in Silver Helmet and other meetings, do (in my honest opinion) justify serious consideration for a team place using 4.00 points. He will easily score that at home, no question. As to Konopka - could be the answer to Newcastle's ongoing reserve issues and..... he is cheap - I'm sure kev/jitendra will give George a good loan deal for him
  4. The problem here is how much do you trust/have faith in either of them!! Only they know what was discussed during this conversation (if it did take place) - the one factor that would concern/influence me based on what has been reported so far is why this was never raised previously. If I were accused of breaking the rules, and knew of all the comments being thrown about, attended a hearing to explain my actions and then got punished - I would have been shouting very loudly that I had received advice/verbal permission to undertake the actions I had. I certainly wouldn't come out and announce it weeks later! Everyone will have watched a police drama on TV and heard the words "..... it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court....." I would suggest it may harm your defence even more if you do not mention something when questioned, or in court, and then later rely upon this when justifying your actions
  5. Perks is conference reserve, but now in team replacing him is Wallinger. A conference reserve!
  6. I'm sure consistency will be applied when/if another promotion are found to have been given a financial incentive (bung) to break the rules!
  7. It will be interesting, of course they will want know about any incentives Redcar were offered to allow riders to miss the meeting and they will need to investigate if any rules have been broken. You want to check those grapes you have - seem very sour to me!

Ok - I apologise if you think I have tarnish Peterborough Speedway's reputation with my comments, which were actually being supportive of a number of panthers fans who I don't think are happy with this ongoing situation. However if you are and don't want to make a fuss that's fine - each to their own. AND - I only said most were not stupid!!!
  9. No surprise another fictional report to try and make out Panthers management are being badly treated by authorities, someone should tell them their supporters deserve much much better respect and (most) are not stupid!!

  11. Don't disagree that it was right to drop Hansen, the point I was highlighting was the fictional (imo) report of how it was conducted.

The statement that showground will not deal with other potential promoters has come from Rathbone, given his history of slanting the reporting of situations in his favour I personally would be doubtful if this was 100% definitive as stated. I know many Panthers fans feel he has been honest with them, but some of his explanations really don't add up - prime example is sacking of Hansen On the showground issue - can you really see the owners turning down income from someone, if they are reputable and have financial backing. They would much rather have facility used than standing empty and just costing money!
  13. The severity of the fine is dependant on the gain from the misdemeanor. I have no idea what the deal from Torun was, or indeed what the fine actually, however the fine HAS to outweigh any financial payment or the perceived financial gain from "deals/favours" etc. Otherwise where is the deterrent for the future? So until you can state what Ged gained from the situation you can't complain about the level of fine!

  16. I think you are spot on, Glasgow will get across the line, but not convincingly. Ipswich will certainly be a lot happier not having to face the Bears who have hit form especially at home. However having said that, the contest is over the season and over that period Glasgow deserve their play-off place, it must be very disappointing fof Tigers fans that the wheels are coming off at just the wrong time
  17. Worrall withdrawn from Silver Helmet tomorrow due to illness, so maybe not 100% tonight either?
  18. If you are looking for a reason as to why Ben Barker's injury flared up to the extent he could practise, but not ride in a competitive meeting, I suggest you look a lot closer to home and any actions there, which may have influenced the situation!
  19. Logic says that as Sheffield are running on an off night to get this fixture in that it will count towards the play off positions. However, if the cut off is the day before, then that is when it is, no point complaining and saying special dispensation should be issued, it would just lead to other teams wanting deadline extending by 2, 3, 4 days to get their last meeting in. the problem is the reluctance to get meetings on, I assume to non availability of key riders during the "regular season" Always amazes me how clubs can suddenly ride on all sorts of different nights when they need to get fixtures completed, yet can't (or won't) ride on a regular slot when no pressure on! this isn't a dig at any specific club, as all are generally guilty, (although some more than others!!) I do have some sympathy for Sheffield, Ipswich & Redcar as Thursday tracks and all vying for play off positions and when the scheduled meetings are postponed (on several occasions) due to adverse weather!
  20. OK - thanks I can see where you are coming from, but, imo, there is a big difference in riding two meetings on the same evening and two meetings two weeks apart! Granted it is not ideal, but we are now into silly season when most tracks are trying to fit in fixtures which should have been held earlier in the summer - ironically clubs are now agreeing to ride with top riders missing which was most probably the reason the meetings were not organised back during the "proper season"!
  21. Apologies if I'm missing something obvious but what are they doing on different days which is the same as the double header scenario?
