  1. You should come down more often - i would say we have had a number of meetings that have had better racing
  2. Ha - we all know it is a brown paper bag job
  3. So - it says Team Redcar under your name -- I seriously doubt it !!! Sure you aren't an interloper who is out to cause mischief ??? There will be supporters who don't fully agree with the changes, but since this promotion took over - EVERYTHING has been done with supporters at the forefront of the considerations. It may or may not work out, but top marks for trying . I AM a Redcar fan and I WILL be there to see how we get on. Good Luck to Anders, thanks for 100% effort while in a Bears jacket
  4. Makes sense - free to guest during play offs - If glasgow run with guests he will be a regular number 1 for them
  5. Unless you lose money when you hold a meeting !!!
  6. I visited Isle of Wight 3 seasons ago - Barry Bishop does his utmost to make you feel welcome, so I would recommend any Bears fans to make the trip over and enjoy his hospitality
  7. If you ask nicely you could probably be Newcastle Team manager - current incumbent must have outstayed welcome by now
  8. The rule was that you couldn't drop a rider from your 1-7 and then bring them back in. I assume that is still in place for this season?
  9. Would have been long odds on Glasgow and Leicester not winning a single league point today!! Well done Scorpions and Diamonds
  10. Would have been long odds on Glasgow and Leicester not winning a single league point today!! Well done Scopions and Diamonds
  11. You would hope that once rising stars gain averages then guest replacements work off averages not the grading system, up until that point I think the rules should have been only 1* riders are able to replace an absent rising star. However that is not the case and any team would look to get the best replacement they could , so Redcar have just drawn a short straw today. Makes a difficult task - extra tough
  12. Ok - so what happened , happened - as has been said lessons need to be learnt and I don't think anyone wants to see Birmingham put in a position which threatens their participation. I would suggest Birmingham need to look at doing the following 1. Haven't seen what was said about ticket refunds etc - so offer all those with tickets for last night to rebook for next redcar match, or get money back 2. Get onto Swindon and/or Somerset and see about loaning some equipment, if that is main problem then get something in place - otherwise get onto Wolverhampton and borrow whatever necessary to get track sorted. 3. Depending on result tomorrow night at Redcar, look at advising BSPA that they concede this tie - fixture lists are crammed and no doubt there will be rain-offs to fit in, don't want cup dragging on as usually happens 4. Finally next home meeting have a collection for Jordan Stewart - not suggesting Birmingham in anyway responsible for his injuries, but it would just be a good gesture.
  13. And so they staged a crash after heat 10 had started - grow up and be sensible
  14. Edinburgh always a tough venue to visit - been very happy with a point. Safe meeting to all involved
  15. Don't think he fits anyway now does he?
  16. I see Eastbourne, Leicester & Glasgow as favourites Redcar and Scunthorpe could do well, but much depends on who they get to fill their last spots Berwick, Poole, Edinburgh & Birmingham (again depending on who they sign) look like mid table unless someone makes great strides And sorry, but Newcastle, Kent & Plymouth to be down at bottom. HOWEVER - those views are based on teams as declared now, we all know injuries occur and teams might change so all to play for. These are my genuine opinions, feel free to debate and disagree, but please don't take offence if you think I have downgraded your team's chance - compared to your own views
  17. I've put your nomination in to be in charge of agreeing final team submissions - Bears would love 7.45 to play with
  18. He also rode in 1972 - went through the card to get a 15 point maximum and win Open Championship went through the card to get an 18 point maximum in Eng v Australia international scored 11 from 4 rides in league match So 15 rides and only beaten once (by Frank Auffret) Top class rider
  19. Good Luck to Plymouth and their promotion - certainly got everyone talking about them, All this fuss about how much it is costing and finances, these are very different times to even two seasons ago, so who knows what deals have been done, I personally think that both these riders are not looking for big paydays and are more likely to just want to ride and enjoy their "twilight" years. I don't know and have no inside knowledge, but I bet their are other riders in the Championship on better deals
  20. I can say with 100% certainty PHIL Crump has NOT ridden at Redcar
