  1. come on keep up with the debate check post 335
  2. I agree ridiculous valuation by Havelock - GP & World Cup rider, relatively young, PL no 1 and rapid improvement last season - should be 25k minimum.
  3. That's a bit pricey - he hasn't ridden since 1983
  4. Totally agree - what is fascination with keeping deals quiet and then announcing announcement will be at some point in the future??? Fine if club has some sort of social/gathering - but not just for the odd name on the internet. NYB aka Grumpy Old Man
  5. OK - the poster named Starman2006 insists on posting ridiculous questions, which 99% of posters realise do not really need a response, however if original poster does not give a full and frank answer which meets aforementioned Starman's requirements, the aforementioned Starman gets very upset and insists on repeating request for the answer he is looking for - eventually getting in a bad mood. How's that = plain enough - blunt enough??
  6. You had better answer - get's a right strop on if question isn't answered to full satisfaction
  7. Wasn't being at Redcar that was his problem in 2013, he had other issues and would have struggled whatever track he was with. Delighted to see him overcome these "demons" and get back to where he should be
  8. Try it - put a quote up and see how fast you get a sued for libel!
  9. With all that's kicking off on Somerset thread about Holder any thoughts/views on whether Allen is coming in on a 5 or 7 point average??
  10. No need to panic - he was never remotely near the Bears clutches
  11. He now has an EL average so that just gets converted and he has both EL and PL averages to allow double up role.
  12. All reports imply he did want away, not because of any issues with Newcastle, but wanting more Sundays free. Are you saying he refused the deal offered to him at Newcastle??
  13. Bears website states he wanted a midweek track in order to spend more time with family, so probably his decision to move on
  14. Isn't his motive for leaving Newcastle (a Sunday track) still applicable?? Thereby making a return unfeasible.
  15. Well Done on highlighting this, I also was totally appalled by this quote - the phase "gets away with it" is in itself a total admission of guilt which should receive appropriate punishment As a total EL neutral I have no axe to grind with Poole, MF or Darcy Ward, but you would hope the correct actions are taken and it looks like FIM will be doing this. Best Wishes to Poole fans, you are the ones who have to endure the consequences of Ward's irresponsibility, and finally well done to Middleditch on his honest and fair assessment.
  16. "Lost his way at Redcar (not the first or the last)" - whilst I don't totally disagree with your statement, it really wouldn't have mattered where Kus rode last season - he wasn't in right place in himself to be a fully committed speedway racer. Delighted he is now back to the rider we all know he can be
  17. Firstly best wishes to Matty & Aaron From a neutral speedway fan watching on Sky - an enjoyable meeting, primarily because of the new concept of having a meeting run in thirds - 15-15, 24-6, 4-19 (before nominated heat)resulting in close finish. Entertainment racing wise I have to say was at a premium, but as discussed Berwick are limited with track shape and nearly always tracks around football/rugby pitches have tight entry/exits to bends which means limited passing. I passed comment on Berwick team management after Redcar meeting which cost them a point and it came so close to being deja vu last night, it isn't even "playing a hunch" or "taking a gamble" - not putting Kus out was blatant mismanagement and as mentioned in previous thread top TMs change reserves to maximise who they will and will not beat!
  18. Well Done to Sheffield on their offer to Birmingham Season Ticket holders, something some other tracks could look at doing to give a little encouragement to Brummies fans who have suffered an horrendous season. Full Marks to the promotion
  19. Redcar actually benefitted last season as match at Rye was called off and Redcar finished above Leicester on match points, caused Lions fans and management to really spit their dummies out!! As it turned out we got result in rearranged match anyway Bit of a long shot but Redcar may just benefit this season as we have points in the bag and weather for next few weeks is horrendous. Really is farcical if Redcar and/or Newcastle qualify due to others not getting matches in - but promoters can only look at themselves if they agreed to have a load of blank weeks !!
  20. If all 7 are 6 pointers that's 42 in total - can't see much success with that formula
  21. Yes - the point I was making was that Kus should have had 7 rides before heat 15 & then use Jensen & Bellego
