  1. I realise this may be a bit radical, but they could have gone to the tapes without having a 2 minute warning
  2. Konopka is now available, get him some "Motive" support with machinery and may be a useful 3pt reserve - however stand by for flak if replacing a young brit with a no hoper pole!!
  3. Thanks for your thoughts, without doubt a passionate reply. Not sure if "a question to you" was directed back to me, however if so then - in my opinion from an outsider looking in - he does appear to have more commitment to riding for Kings lynn and again imo I think he would have been back in that scenario, which is quite a sad comment for Panthers fans to hear. I actually agree that if this had been the first case of missing a meeting other than double up clashes then there may have been a bit more tolerance, but can fully appreciate the anger at basically being taken for mugs with all the excuses touted - always a very dangerous business giving reasons which can then be disproved!! As to excuses from footballers being too tired - don't get me on my soap box about that! I'm from an era when games were played Saturday, cup replay Monday, draw so another replay Thursday and then game on Saturday - now with the obscene money being paid they can't train for a few hours and then play twice a week - utter crap!!! end of rant
  4. Big collection today for Kozza judging by the paper filled buckets. Should put a smile on his face I hope and speed the healing.... That is excellent news, was anything further announced about a replacement?
  5. Firstly agree totally with the views on the JOKER rule, but you have to have a rule in place to allow clubs to cover for riders on route to or from international meetings. In this instance meeting was in Denmark and, as has been shown, it was possible to get back for the following day, what if the meeting had been in Russia somewhere??. The issue is around Lambert (on advice or whatever) not wanting to make the efforts to get back, and because of the ruling, not having to make effort. As a neutral observer I don't really have an issue either way, but fully understand Panthers fans frustration at situation and their feeling of being "let down" (polite version) - genuine question to Panthers fans - would you have felt differently if, rather than having a load of excuses which Danny King has managed to singlehandedly blow out of the water, a statement along the following lines had been issued....... " Robert Lambert has decided that the journey to return in time for Peterborough's match, although doable will be arduous and in view of his exertions over the last week he does not feel he would therefore be in a position to perform to the best of his ability and it would be in Peterborough's best interests to utilise the FIM ruling which entitles them to a facility for a rider up to 24 after an FIM meeting" I realise you would still be unhappy at least it is a genuine reason Thoughts??
  6. Apparently he takes Palm Toft's dog for a walk so knock another 0.5 off
  7. But if Morley had been dropped surely they would then save on loan fee?? So financially no difference? One certain fact is Morley claims a lot more miles travelling to home meetings! Just add that is a comment re facts, not an opinion on who should/should not have been dropped!!
  8. As a neutral I can't wait for this thread to take off - clean fight everyone no blows below the belt !!
  9. Match now underway 3 heats completed - bet Mr Blobby is sat there drooling ! Then he may see current score 6-12 and get all excited aswell! He has now wet himself!!! Congratulations to Monarchs- from updates sounds like a comprehensive revenge mission
  10. Don't think either of the riders practising are heading for the Bears. Have no knowledge if one was Vaculik, but would question why he was in this country? may have been laguta, lost on his way to Vojens
  11. If that was your new rider at Redcar tonight he looked very smooth and quick
  12. OK OK then team should have read 4. Blackbird or r/r or Kus 5. R Lambert or r/r
  13. For once it is actually a sensible decision, young British rider with no team through no fault of his own - good luck to him
  14. I think looking press release the team should read 4. Kus or r/r 5. R Lambert or r/r with r/r definitely being in one of the places
  15. How are you getting a guest at 4 (presumably for Blackbird), surely this can only be r/r? Apologies if I've missed something somewhere!!
  16. Stadium being sold for development? Going Elite League next year? Lakeside taking over?
  17. I would think Berwick will be very disappointed with just 1 point from this meeting
  18. Don't think you have any say in the matter, once you've loaned him out you then can't dictate who else he rides for
  19. If you replace Allen & Greenwood with Roynon + 1 you have 5.45 for your other rider!!! Seems a no brainer to me to keep using guest at no 1
  20. Even if you abolish the 10 heat rule for declaring matches, promoters are going to have a cut off point for full (or even partial) refund - so actually the reverse is true, clubs stand to make more money throughout season. In your scenario match is abandoned at heat 14 promoter saves on race costs for 1 heat but doesn't suffer any additional costs that have already been incurred. Working on the assumption that meeting are being run at a profit, when match is replayed it's a further opportunity to make money, yes there is rent and other expenses, but you have gate money/sponsors again! If match only runs to heat 10 then promoter is saving 1 third of race expenses, only one group loses out..... the fans, but then when did it matter about them!!!
