From what we have seen I think team sprit would be excellent with Bjerre and (insert rider of choice) in there -

When they say doublig up I assume it is only one match with score counting for both ?? Are TRs allowed in Premier Shield? If not you could have a rider on a TR for the league match but not Shield and have two different scores ongoing!! Only in speedway -

We all know where the jokers are tonight ! -
Whilst disappointed with the result I have to say well done to Lewis Kerr, after the events of last season even Bears fans have to be delighted to see him scoring big points again ( most would have been happy to see him come to watch speedway at one point!). Good Luck for the future Lewis, hope your improvement continues

And if they have a big enough gap they make it up twice!!

Scott Courtney's assessment of getting thumped at Rye "This was another good effort for the Bandits" obviously has low expectations!

I'm amazed so many teams don't bother - specifically for the scenario I outlined above - I guess they don't want additional costs, but at home there must be a local junior to have as a standby??

The real big risk (especially running r/r for your 5th average rider) is getting an injury early in a meeting - especially pavlova - you then would have potentially 1 rider in some heats and/or have Phillips taking 7 rides - if this was a play off match could be difference between winning/losing overall so I can fully understand why you are looking to get a full team in place

Nobody is the least bit surprised your girlfriend is eyeing up other men, even the 70 year old gate attendant is a better option You are right - Somerset and Glasgow are shi**ing themselves, but through laughing at your postings! -
Delaying start can also mean having to call riders back, there doesn't appear to be a reason of "jumping start" or "gaining an advantage" Why do you say ref was terrible? you have just agreed with all his decisions (other than the delaying start - which again was correct), I can't remember anything else he did worth a comment. As to lap of honour I agree with some others that if this gives the kid a boost then fair play

Would think one promoter & one rider would be delighted, the other promoter relatively happy - but the final rider??? that could be the problem! -

Have to agree, those who said they were staying away were very wise, although I have to say not because the match was one sided - whilst never looking like winning the Bears put up a decent performance, but personally I think it was the least entertaining meeting I have ever seen at Sheffield (not a regular visiter due to Thursday clashes) but very much ftg with only a handful of passes. Best wishes to josh Bates, good job he didn't need ambulance attention quickly with the farce of going right round track then trying to demolish tapes! One of the highlights of the evening -

Would like to think RR for Garrity makes Tigers a bit weaker, which it probably does, but with 4 very capable riders taking rides they should cover it easily. Interested in how Busch settles in, and I think we should put up a reasonable performance, but consolation point may be just beyond us! Can some Sheffield fan clarify a query - I'm intending coming along and thought I may get ticket in advance, but then couldn't see what benefit that gave me. To me it looks like I end up paying 50p extra to on the gate - am I missing something and just being a bit stupid? -

Yet another of the anomalies of our sport, ultimately it is the whole guest system which is the problem, sadly due to nature of the sport teams can't bring in their own reserves as in football, cricket, rugby etc etc - although for an oldie like me that is how the old div 2 was set up way back in 1968, but then you had a second half with 5, 6, 7 or more young juniors, all fighting to get a chance in the team - Aah the good old days . The only potential way to solve stronger guest is to start to use an average for a rider at each specific track and then only allow a lesser averaged rider (at that track) to replace - Good Luck getting anyone to agree, or administer, that! -
Is this some strange sexual, religious ritual you and the wife are participating in??
