I agree, but why is it only applied to Premier average?
-
Anyone got any ideas why Ellis' average is different on greensheets for Redcar and Rye House? Redcar he is 2.38, which is the figure on original team building sheet which was issued, but on Rye House he is 2.32. No immediate problem or issue, just curious - although that 0.06 may be vital in team changes (but hopefully after first new ones he will be on the increase!)

Anyone know why Perks is shown in greensheet averages as 2.32, when the original sheet for team building had him at 2.38, and on greensheets for Redcar he is 2.38?? If there is a reduction due surely it would apply in both leagues? No problem, or issue at all, just wondered where the discrepancy arose.

Might just be an inspired move which plays to both riders strengths !!

Hi - Can any Comet fan give me some help - I'd like to know how to contact your official photographers - Dave Payne/Adrian Randall? It's for my son who is looking to speak with photographers across in Cumbria as part of his university course, trying to come up with some less obvious ideas. Thanks

Workington Concerns For Future
northyorksbear replied to a topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If a stipulation in a contract hasn't been honoured then I would expect said rider to be taking legal proceedings - if it is as black and white as you are making it out to be the rider is on a certain winner! I will be delighted if he follows up other part of article saying he must get better riders next year. re the track I have to disagree about it being rubbish week after week, apart from odd meetings which weather intervened I think that it has produced top quality racing. I do agree that Workington (or most other promotions) try harder than redcar - I see little evidence of "promoting" the product Apologies for hijacking Comets thread -
Peterborough Panthers 2017
northyorksbear replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I can fully understand that viewpoint, and no doubt many others would always want to be in the top division. I personally think speedway in GB can't be looked upon as having a top division which everyone aspires to, simply because the differences are so vast which negates the logical promotion/relegation scenario. Due to the structure of speedway as a team sport (eg rebuilding teams each season/guests/rr etc) I don't think you can make the comparison with football/cricket/rugby etc as they all have settled squads and in your example Man Utd & Chelsea would deem it as a failure even if the football was better. My big issue with the whole debate on what is better Elite or Premier, which gives better racing, who has the bigger names (Elite supposedly) is that I see the Elite league as a glorified premier League, or the Premier League is a watered down Elite - How many times this season has an Elite match contained a minimum of 8 riders who have regular team places in Premier league, often more! IMO for the sport to have credibility in its divisional structure teams should be of a strength which means only the top Premier riders ( and I mean a handful) are deemed worthy of having a place in an Elite team. Then you would say elite contained best teams and riders! I fear I will be dreaming for a long time. However, everyone will have their own views and the debate will linger on -
Don't get too worried - I don't think he would want a weekend home track due to all his continental excursions! You may get a 2016 Bear yet though

That's my view, but I would think the majority won't pay it. -

OK to rehash original query - does a rider get paid for 6 x agreed points money for a TR win or just regular 3 points Or does it depend on what is agreed club by club?? -

You need to fit Ulrich in, biggest certainty in speedway he will be back with Rathbone!! -

Statement is very clear that Peterborough will be PL. having stated in Star that he "isn't a rich man" I think he would have needed substantial financial backing from elsewhere to consider running two clubs, especially one in Elite League! -

So looks like 5 rides for Etheridge and 11 rides between Rutherford and wallinger - betting spread is set at 4 points between them (only that high as they will be same races!!) Also got to be a good bet that Cook will score over half points the whole team gets - Ostergaard looked enthusiastic but not fast last night, so 30 points may be optimistic!! Re post #26 put me down as a cynic! -

Where is this rule which says three dates have to be offered, I've only found a rule stating if both parties can't agree BSPA will dictate date to run meeting? And if it is one of these rules the supporters never get to see written down does it state they have to be by a certain date ? -

Of course you then get into scenario of home promotions offering dates and away teams turning them down, I assume in those instances you would advocate the home promotion be awarded the points? -

Anyone else notice that recent press releases and pieces in Speedway Star are having more frequent references to finances? For example - Highlighting losses on certain meetings, how all bills should(!) be paid by end of season, and now the fact that Edinburgh is going to result in "a wage-bill running into thousands of pounds" (NB I thought home promotion paid all points/prize money so is this on top of standard money??) I may be reading too much into this - any thoughts!! -

Don't know all your answers, but from previous information I understand this Friday was available to any of Somerset, Glasgow or Peterborough and eventually Somerset agreed even though they would have to get a number of guests in. Edinburgh probably would have done a double header if teams had been willing - just to add another variable when Redcar/Plymouth both rode was that not a possibility I'm sure they would have swopped to let a higher priority fixture take place (but again we mortals do not know who has offered declined etc.) Is Rich Hall grasstracking /longtracking ? Somerset's missing riders are injured or doubling up in Elite league I think most promoters put their own spin on situations, so IMO Ged is maybe being a bit biased with his view on the reluctance to rearrange to suit his exact requirements -
At present teams look like Redcar 1. David Bellego 2. Tobias Busch 3. Hugh Skidmore 4. R/R (JBA) 5. Lasse Bjerre 6. Jye Etheridge 7. Lee Payne Rye House 1. ???? Eddie Kennett ??? 2. Kasper Lykke 3. R/R (Heeps) 4. Leigh Lanham 5. Stuart Robson 6. Rob Branford 7. Ben Morley No news about whether Kennett is fit or who guest is if not, surely this has been decided now!! Whilst all focus is on Foxhall and Ipswich fighting for a play off place , Newcastle trying to get a bye into playoff semis, this match is the real biggie tonight - win for Redcar will move them off the bottom and put pressure on Plymouth whilst Rye still have a chance to get the wooden spoon (or even rise to heading heights of 8th!!) Loss of JBA is a real blow for the Bears means more riders for the reserves and if they reproduce recent form then Morley/Branford are in for a bumper payday and all pressure will be on top 4 to drop very few points. One hope for bears is if Rockets TM is up to his usually standard!!! For anyone going don't forget it's your chance to vote for Bear of the year Logic says Bellego - heart says Bukhave (or is it alcohol talking!!)
