  1. On the updated version just issued, Aarnio's average is back to it's original, which I guess includes the reduction steve park refers to. I think the office junior was let loose with the issue of the erroneous set of averages as it is full of ficticious information!!
  2. If Barker is a s bad as we were told last night then you realistically can't see him being fit for Saturday, next Thursday may be possible
  3. Not on drain duty last night, that's when he wears his Panthers fleece
  4. Ged seen at Redcar tonight wearing his Matty Kus top is this a hint of was he just a bit cold????
  5. Just noticed that Redcar have been slotted in on Sunday 16th July, this seems bizarre as we are also there on the following Sunday the 23rd. Seriously bad planning in my opinion!!
  6. I think Bacon will be a victim of others under achieving, which potentially is a big mistake, on the couple of occasions I have seen him recently he looks to have good equipment, a steady style and most importantly a far better rider than at beginning of the season. He is on the up and if he does get the chop (thank ruff Diamond), some other team is going to reap the rewards and get an uncut gem which may just sparkle!! Might literally turn into a full Diamond!
  7. Won't revert to Thursdays, that would mean Ged wouldn't be able to go along and support his no.1 team
  8. Bacon has impressed me on the couple of occasions he has ridden for redcar and he is going well again - I can see him getting fixed up very quickly when the legendary Rathbone axe falls!!
  9. we are half way through May, of course they are imminent, Ged will be having nightmares about same 1-7 for over a month now!
  10. No doubt the best team on the night won and you can only beat what is put against you, so full credit to the Comets It's just disappointing that we have lost this match and gone out of the cup due more to rider availability than to simply being "not the best team" on the night.
  11. the one thing he is right about though, is that Bridger is going to be a very popular choice of guest for a while!
  12. memo to Kevin Keay - could you please sign yourself and Jitendra Duffill to ride at reserve to give the Diamonds lads a chance
  13. I'm sure the new promotion conducted this action in an appropriate manner. I can't comment on the past instances, but would hope in this case Richard was asked/given the opportunity to ride on Thursday and if he didn't feel like it could have said no - as he has agreed you would expect him to be professional and give 100% Quite often changes have to be made with averages deadlines approaching and the incoming riders can't make the next meeting, it is another querk of the sport!
  14. It was the wife's secret lover then!
  15. Yes thanks - in fact I actually thought you might have a sense of humour and get the intention of the post, but obviously it flew so far over your head you missed it by a mile. Never mind, better luck next time!
  16. Are you sure words were had or was is your friends girlfriend told you this?
  17. A fair result on the night, Sheffield are a good team, especially at home. If Bears had a full team and all fully fit, it could have been closer, but doubt overall result would have been different. Still disappointed with the actual racing at Sheffield, to be fair it was better than my last visit, but as the updates often said XXX all over YYY but didn't pass! Barker and Garrity usually involved in the main action, and have to give praise and credit to Howarth, who always gave room to Garrity to race, I know of a number of others who would happily have "drifted" nearer the fence to block off. Other closed races were hall & Wright who had some excellent tussles ( but for third!)
  18. You couldn't fit Payne in he is 2.61 But as he is higher than Blacklock, I don't see that he has to make way when Blacklock fit - unless the Bandits want it
  19. Scunny changed their team before 1st May and although they utilised some riders averages dropping, the potential to review the others averages wasn't available to be used. Ipswich changed their team before any rider got a new average and kept below the 40 limit hence why their team was legal. You could argue that real averages could have been applied across the board for their team and I don't know if that would have taken them over the limit. However I think the rule is specifically aimed at a mixture of new averages and old averages. So other teams haven't done the same. I reiterate I'm not anti Berwick, but if a rule is there it should be applied.
  20. I don't think anyone is suggesting Berwick any doing something underhand The bottom line is that a rule has been introduced for the situation of a team having majority of riders getting their new average and then also having another rider who hasn't completed the required number ( for whatever reason ) and by using this old average redeclaring for a new 1-7. Whether the rule should be there is up for debate, but it is and therefore should be enforced!
