What mob? According to the Glasgow fans it was totally down to worrall and Dickson, of course this was view through binoculars -
And here was me thinking they just actually followed and applied their rules for a change!

My Top 20 Riders On Current Form
northyorksbear replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why? I don't see him as a number 5 as yet so it has to be 2,3 or 4. Each of those gets to ride in a "reserve" based heat, so don't see why it matters which one. You could have an argument for having a strong rider at 3 as there potentially have the last chance of tactical ride. Also certain riders prefer not to be in heat 1 JBA seems content with that role -
Unless Ben actively canvassed Rye to drop Ellis, which I can't see happening, then no issue. If Ben had turned the team spot down on principal, Rye would have just got someone else, I'm afraid Ellis was getting the push no matter what!

The outcome will be announced within the designated timescales as applied by BSPA & SCB, which sadly are only known by those organisations!

I agree, but would he come "up north"

Well at least there will be someone to mend the fence next Thursday if required!!! -
Having seen how quickly other issues are dealt with I would say it could still be "under consideration"

Peterborough Panthers 2017

With carr coming in, and management apparently staying loyal to Lambert, makes you wonder where this reporter is getting info from. Peterborough, Sheffield & Newcastle all can't fit him in without major team surgery, which none would be willing to do. Berwick, other team mentioned is totally unrealistic - Saturday on Scottish border for someone based in Kent(??) or certainly down south!! I think this is old news prior to his average going up that little bit which takes him away from the 2.00 point rider. - well it was enough to get Panthers, Tigers and others all excited, but bemused!! -

Whilst I sympathise with problems Berwick have encountered, the reason they were able to sign a quality rider like Morris was due to Bridger riding well below his starting average! You can't now complain that replacements will not be up to his potential as opposed to what he showed previously. -
Peterborough V Glasgow 25/6/17 Championship
northyorksbear replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Any team can have an off day. Glasgow still best team in this league imo! Lawson not doing himself any favours in trying to justify his outburst at omission from GB squad! -
Lambert is potentially one of the best riders we will have for the next few years, but you feel he needs someone to guide him and stop him doing/saying stupid things which makes him look foolish and alienate other supporters. Sounds like today's antics are one such example, similarly his comments at Redcar earlier in the season regarding track being unrideable. You would have liked his team manager/promoter to put him right and get comments into context unfortunately moaning George just jumped on them as a good excuse to use. Maybe he panders to Lambert's antics and comments!
