Sorry to go back to the action before they bump into the open pit gate again, but I don't think anyone has mentioned that Scott appears to use his left foot to push Emil's bike away as they approach the pit gate. I'm guessing that this could be to stop Emil's foot-rest from damaging his bike, but it could equally be seen as an attempt to stop Emil from getting to the pit gate entrance.
Scott doesn't appear to be trying to make the right turn to get into the pits either. Not sure whether this was intentional, or whether this was a result of them being in some way locked together by their equipment / bikes. Pure speculation on my part, but I thought I'd join in as it seems to be the order of the day around here!
Clearly the red-mist had long since descended on the pair of them and neither of them were thinking clearly by that time. What followed has given the sport some much needed publicity, but for the wrong reasons. Sadly I've seen this all too often with a sport I follow, ice hockey, where the only press coverage it gets domestically is when there is a bench clearing brawl.
I only wish we were talking about the superb racing and overtaking on the track instead! But the that doesn't appear to be the priority in Speedway GP land.
