  1. You cant watch it over the internet but you can listen to it. Its going to be live on BBC WM, website here, you have to have realplayer installed I think to listen to it, it can be downloaded for free on the internet, just google it. Its the main sports story on WM, the coverage of this meeting has been great, just what we need with a planning application going in soon.
  2. Lindgren 25/1 , hes one of the few riders to ride at PB and likes the track. Cant believe Swiderski and Gjedde are ahead of him.
  3. I think it would have been better to stage this meeting on that sunday, with that absolutly pointless PT meeting against KL put on a wednesday at the end of the season. The problem is KL are involved in the play offs and if they go all the way with the same race night as us it would be hard to race that on a wednesday, but saying that Kl could race one of their meetings on a friday allowing us to race against them on a wednesday. The crowd would be bigger if the ELRC was on a sunday and it would be after the play off final and GP so the riders would take it a bit more seriously.
  4. Hope its a good meeting tonight despite all the pull outs. The racing recently has been very good and if it is tonight then it will bring a little bit more respctibility back to the meeting. As this is the only individual at Birmingham now after the axing of the second city trophy , I certantly hope its a good meeting. What irritates me is why is it only known on the day of the meeting that riders have pulled out. Whether riders are pulling out on the day of the meeting or the BSPA only tell supporters on the day of the meeting, its wrong really. Sadly it wont suprise me if more riders withdraw from this meeting. Still decent line up, It also wouldnt suprise me if the track record went tonight.
  5. I think its a terrible decision to axe this meeting. Ive been looking forward to this all season and with little notice its just been scrapped . If the meeting was this week then I can understand what graham is saying but the meeting is the end of the month when the season is finished for most teams. Only really the young shield final and perhaps the EL relegation/promotion final will be taking place. Most teams are staging individuals and can get a decent line up. Even if he cant stage the meeting, why not put the Alan Pearce memorial meeting instead. If we could try and get the likes of Joe Haines, Richard Sweetman and Darcy Ward to ride then it could be a decent meeting. Also there could be a big fireworks display afterwards. This isnt the only meeting to be axed, the Alan Pearce Memorial was scheduled but axed and a CL challenge against Buxton was also. By the looks of it there may not be a Alan Hunt Memorial meeting next year, Tony Mole said our first meeting will be a PT meeting. Disappointed as I thought an Individual meeting would be a good chance to end the season on a good note. Instead we have a meaningless PT meeting against Kings Lynn and they are probably favourites for the meeting aswell.
  6. Perhaps Scott Nicholls and Andreas Jonnson were the riders that pulled out late without a valid reason when it was origionally staged and the BSPA have banned them from the restaging. Still think Holder will win next week.
  7. Thought it was a good meeting, the racing wasnt the best at times it got much better as the meeting wore on. Tai deserved his win, fantastic performance. Bit disapointed with with Lyonsys performance theres no doubt breaking the tapes in his first ride proved costly. Although he looked slow all meeting, hasnt been at his best for a few weeks. The form of Bunyan surprised me as did Lawsons four last places before he finally won one. Good to see such a big crowd even though it was a mad scramble to get out at the end. Also good to see some elite league fans making the trip, there not all bad
  8. Here's my prediction: 1. Tai Woffinden 2. Kevin Doolan 3. Adrien Rymel 4. Ulrich Ostergaard
  9. I Live about 3/4 miles away and theres been steady rainfall for about an hour, its eased off recently and looks bright in the distance. The track has good drainage so it might not have affected the track too much. The bad news is the worst of the weather seems to be to the west, and it could hit us early evening. Undecided whether to go.
  10. I didnt mean you cant see the track at all, just in some areas its not good in others like the first and second bend.
  11. Perry Barr I reckon could hold about 3000 -4000 for this meeting. There was 6000 for the alan hunt memorial meeting but you could stand on the 1/2 bend for that. With an airfence in place, viewing on the first second bend would be restricted. I would imagine they would put up another temporary stand on the bend to counter it. We average about 1500 for league meetings despite our indifferent season. Viewing at PB compared to other tracks isnt great but having a great race track thats usually quite grippy will make up for it.
  12. Line up: 1. Chris Holder (Poole) 2. Jason Crump (Belle Vue) 3. Freddie Lindgren (Wolverhampton) 4. Leigh Adams (Swindon) 5. Jaroslaw Hampel (Ipswich) 6. Lee Richardson (Eastbourne) 7. Piotr Swiderski (Ipswich) 8. Chris Harris (Coventry) 9. Charlie Gjedde (Belle Vue) 10. Scott Nicholls (Eastbourne) 11. Adam Shields (Lakeside) 12. Bjarne Pedersen (Poole) 13. Mads Korneilussen (Swindon) 14. Andreas Jonsson (Lakeside) 15. Hans Andersen (Coventry?) 16. Niels K.Iversen (Wolverhampton) 1st Reserve Kenneth Bjerre (Peterborough) 2nd Reserve Rory Schlein (Coventry) Really looking forward to this, should be great to see so many top riders at Perry Barr and great for the club to host such a big event. Most of these riders haven't rode here, Only Chris Holder (twice last year) and Freddie Lindgren (in a challenge match last season) have, and being such a fair track there should be plenty of good racing as there has been all season 1. Jason Crump 2. Chris Holder 3. Andreas Jonsson 4. Leigh Adams
  13. To be honest I agree, Watson might do well as he goes well around somerset but without Lyons we wont have a chance. I would imagine Lee Smart will come in but he was awful last night and is just coming back from injury. I fear we might get embarrassed in this event.
  14. That could be in doubt now, Lyons crashed tonight and has a shoulder injury. Full extent is not known although i dont think its serious. With the meeting only two days away he must be a big doubt for it.
  15. Good luck to the brits in this meeting and to Kyle Legault. I cant see him doing well at all considering he hasnt rode since 2nd of april, just hope he comes back in one piece.
  16. Really excited now, tickets arrived today. Its actually the first time at Cardiff for me, sitting in L28. Im starting to countdown the days. Roll on the 28th
  17. Well done to Scott Nicholls, no surprise really. Good Luck to Eddie Kennett at Cardiff, wished Tai would have got the Wildcard but even being there as a reserve will be good learning experience for the future being around the best . Creditable performance from Adam Roynon aswell. Shame this meeting wasnt on Sky.
  18. Good luck to Adam Roynon tomorrow, i think he may surprise a few people. Wish I was going to this
  19. Good luck to Henning Bager in this meeting and ex brummie riders Henrik Moller and Ulrich Ostergaard . I fancy ulrich to win it really is flying for reading at the minute.
  20. Heres my team: Nicki Pedersen $60,000 - Captain Jason Crump $50,000 Bjarne Pedersen $35,000 Niels Kristian Iversen $ 25,000 Rune Holta $ 30,000 = $200,000
  21. Found this interview with Nicki Pedersen on You tube, looking ahead to the GPs http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yzbU9I5p7-A
  22. Good luck to the brum guys, adam roynon , lee smart and jack roberts. 1. Lewis Bridger 2. Tai Woffinden 3. Adam Roynon 4. William Lawson
  23. Lee Smart and Mark Baseby must be favourites for this meeting. With smartys experience at weymouth i reckon he could win this meeting i hope he does being a birmingham rider. Hes improved so much this season already.
  24. I think clean cut sports have the rights to film the super seven events this year it says on their website, it was re-run last year.
