  1. If they do keep it in the PL then It be raced at Perry Barr as there is very little home advantage but the brummies wont ever win it
  2. I too would prefer the fours to be on a neutral track, I personally would love it to be at Monmore Green a brilliant race track or back at the EOES.
  3. Why do people automatically think that if Nichollls had come in we would have reached the final. So Nicholls poor form this season counts for nothing, at the end of the its all ifs and buts King deserved his chance. I wish people would get off Lyons back, what do people want a different team manager every year, thats gonna win us the world cup isnt it.
  4. I thought Charlie Webster did very well tonight, Ive been critical of her in the past but she did quite well tonight. Really disapointed with Nigel and Kelvin tonight, for the first time in ages. Ive always like them both despite the abuse Nigel gets on this forum but both went over the top tonight. As early as heat 12 nigel was saying we were going to the final. Towards the end it was getting a farce, we all knew heat 23 would be cruical and it proved that way. Yet Nigel was bellowing down the microphone that we were going to be in the final on saturday. Why raise peoples hopes up like that they only had egg on their faces in the end.
  5. I cant believe all this moaning how can people moan when everyone one can see all 5 of them rode their bollocks off tonight. All I asked was them to give 100%, they gave exactly that and they just missed out. The Swedes had riders that were much more experienced in high pressure situations then us, that counted alot in the latter satges. I cant believe this argument about Scott Nicholls, how can his form merit a call up. The other guys King and Bridger did well on Monday so they totally deserved their chance. If Rob Lyon is to come in and say he wants youth policy selection then thats what he has to do, he had to stick to his guns. If he had bought Nicholls in then many people would have labelled Lyon a bottler and going against his word. I feel for him because hes in a lose lose situation. Well done GB tonight so unlucky but I for one am so proud of them.
  6. Awesome meeting, some really fantastic racing tonight. I thought GB did well they fought hard throughout the meeting, the aussies and poles were always going to finish in the top 2 . Our best rider I thought was Danny King, terrific ride against Gollob so unlucky to miss out on the line but messed up slightly on the last bend. Good Tactical win by Bomber who I thought did very good, Bridger did well early on but not so later on. It looked like Kennet and Woffinden lacked speed, Kennett seemed to ride too wide in his early rides which cost him dearly. A I say some brilliant racing, I suppose Heat 20 has to be the best I hope someone puts it on Youtube. The battle between Crump/Zager and Miedzinski(for a time) was sensational. Too many other good heats but how the bloody hell did Protasiewicz stay on his bike when he rode the back staight fence, amazing stuff. So its to the race off for GB, I think we will be outclassed there but I just hope the boys show the same fighting spirit as they showed tonight. Against 3 tough opponents thats all we can ask of them.
  7. Well im so confused about this, Rye House are in it and the combined averages of (Neath,Mear,Sundstrom and Bowen) are 28.41 which is 0.23 less then us . Whats Hauzingers average , it says on the BSPA website its 6.59 and in the brummies programmes aswell. The rules in this sport are a joke.
  8. Im gutted aswell, it must be because our combined averages of our top 4 arnt good enough. Lyons has dropped his average a bit so perhaps thats the case, rules are rules at the end of the day. Like all of our away meetings we would bring alot of fans with us but that wont be the case this year which is a shame. Its just so frustrating as we didnt qualify last year aswell hopefully third time lucky next year (if we are still around). Good luck to all the teams.
  9. Well they are leaving it very late , its just typical of the BSPA. Hopefully the brummies can do well in this aswell, I predicted us to win this before the season started. Workington and Kings Lynn will be the teams to beat I reckon.
  10. I knew it was too good to be true, I almost fainted when I read SCB supported the brummies.
  11. Thanks for that, I couldnt make it to Somerset on Friday so I will be buying a copy. I hope you have plenty made because im sure every brummies fan will be getting it especially as its the first thing we have won for such a long time.
  12. I did ask but that thread has vanished (Mod: is this - http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...&p=1531576- the post you meant? Please note it has not vanished Easiest way to check is to look in your posts section of your profile), its terrible if thats the case the last thing we need in this sport. Anyone been arrested?.
  13. Totally Agree, Its so bad to see Leigh Adams struggling the way he is, you do wonder whether this will be his last year in the GP series.
  14. They said something about that on sky but they didnt capture it, poor freddie .
  15. I can understand both points of view regarding the Sayfutdinov/Nicholls fight but both are role models to our sport at the highest level. Emil is second in the GP series, hes the hottest speedway talent on the planet an exciting talented speedway rider we should be seeing this after a GP not his ablity with his fists. He had a tantrum with Pedersen before so its not the first time remember.
  16. Great GP, posted my review in another thread. Where did you hear about the trouble between the brits and poles, I so hope it isnt true .
  17. If its true and they are fined that then its absolutly pathetic. I agree they should be banned for a Gp, you cannot condone violence like that in professional sport. end of.
  18. , Also I loved it when the presentor said (along these lines) "Its looks like ING have Ironed out Ole Ollsen" regarding slick tracks, good on him for speaking his mind and sam aswell. Lets face it some of the tracks in this years GP have been far too slick. Tonights was good and safer which is more important.
  19. I really enjoyed this meeting, at last we have a decent track unlike the farce of a track we had last year. Gutted I didnt go, wish I had have now. There seemed to be less crashes but better racing this year and No one can complain about the winner Jason Crump was brilliant. I think the main talking point has to be the Nicholls/Sayfudtinov punch up. I couldnt belive the reaction of Emil, on the biggest stage of our sport he has to show it like that. I dont excuse Scott Nicholls one bit, he shouldnt have reacted like that especially when Ashley Holloway barged him aswell. Nicholls didnt do anything wrong in the race, it was just hard racing. I saw Derek Sneddon fence Richard Sweetman last week and even that didnt end up in a punch up. How hard a rider is Emil, if he dishes it out he should learn how to take it. Hes just a joke, I dont care how talented a rider he is i wont cheer for that prat now. Another incident was the Andersen/Pedersen one, Im no fan of Nicki but excluding him was a complete joke. I thought it should have been all 3 back, even if he thought Hans had drifted off his line into Nicki's then fair enough, but to exclude Nicki was just bonkers. The Harris one was right, he touched Hans Hans went down a bit easy but it was contact none the less. There was some great racing, the heat when Scotty and AJ had a great battle was good and I though the semi when Gollob/Ulamek and Lindgren were close for a time, many other heats aswell. Good showing from Bomber, better from Scott compared to Rubbish hes served us in previous rounds. Kennett did okay but faded later, pity Tai didnt get a ride. All in all I enjoyed this, Skys coverage was excellent I couldnt fault them they even stayed untill after the fireworks display. Still not convinced about Charlie Webster, but impressed with Keith (forgot his second name/presenter), I just wish Mark Loram would smile. Bring on Next year, im 100% going Well done to Crump
  20. Great weekend for the brummies, winning a piece of silverware last night and now Ludvig into the final (even though hes Swedish), hopefully he can do better in the final this time. Well done to all the other riders that have qualified aswell, bit suprised Kevin Wölbert didnt qualify.
  21. At the end of the day, you have to do it when it counts and we did that today. I can understand why people think the system is unfair but as you say its like it in most sports and in the PL pairs in previous seasons.
  22. Fantastic, sadly we didnt have a team to support for 20 years, so this is such a special win also it will get us good coverage with our battle with planning permission, this is good for the city of birmingham the council should realise this. I cant wait till they parade the trophy next Wednesday.
  23. I hope Shane Parker is okay, forgot to mention it in my previous post.
  24. Im absolutly delighted by this , espesically after the season we have had so far with the PT campaign. Even when we beat KL in the semi I thought the Somerset pairing would have too much in the final. After our first two outings theres no way I would have thought we would get into the semis never mind win it. Its great to win our first piece of silverware since our relaunch, absolutly brilliant.
  25. I couldnt believe what he said about Jason Lyons , such a shame the thread has been locked. Come on brummies in final, whatever happens its been a great effort from brum.
