  1. Another possible option is the Midland Metro, the nearest stop is Priestfield, which is only a short walk from the stadium. http://nxbus.co.uk/the-metro/ Cheap day return should be £2.80
  2. Congraulations to Hans Andersen on the victory and a big Well Done to Ben for getting Second Place . What Happened to Kevin Wolbert today, bit surprised he failed to score .
  3. I think the Heathens fans preferred Monmore Green for a number of reasons and their promotion decided to race there all the time this season. I went to both venues last year for some of the Heathens Matches and by far the biggest crowds were at Monmore rarther then Perry Barr. So it makes sense for them to move all their meetings there. However there will be one Heathens Match at Perry Barr, against the Birmingham Bulls on Sunday 1st May. Sure to be a big crowd for that one.
  4. Dudley Heathens Full Fixture list http://www.dudleyheathens.co/fixtures11.php
  5. Good team so far for Mildenhall, delighted to see Jack Hargreaves back in the sport. Still has alot to offer and Good Luck to him. I really rate Rayson and Jacobs, both have a good future ahead of them and I guess for Mildy fans its great seeing them return for 2011. All the Best to Mildenhall in 2011, good to see you back.
  6. Really good team I must say, looks a strong all-round line up. Whilst Garrity is a fantastic talent, I think Kyle Howarth really does have a good future in the sport. I'm always impressed when I see him ride and for Belle Vue fans he's a local lad. One of the title favourites without a doubt.
  7. Good to hear Ben Taylor getting fixed up with a club, obviously missed most of last season with injury but a rider that I really like. Another one that never know's when he's beaten.
  8. Anyone just see it advertised on Sky Sports News, fantastic coverage!! . They have a reporter there and will be showing a few highlights throughout the day.
  9. It seems Daniel King is going to ride for Ikaros Smederna but Birmingham fixtures will be prority. With us being Thursday track, it may mean only a few outings for Danny in Sweden. http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=pl&u=http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2011/02/12/daniel-king-rowniez-w-eskilstunie/&prev=/search%3Fq%3DZuzel%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26prmd%3Divns&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&usg=ALkJrhjFxiOlEM2B4E-_JlXeP_cgv9V1GQ
  10. Great News for Heathens fans, with 'Fred' signed up. I love watching this kid ride. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQNAgUzjz4Q&playnext=1&list=PL1B570169F5880DBF
  11. Looking forward to this, at the end the day its just a bit of fun and its not all about the line-up. Someone like Tony Atkin is ideal for Telford with his experince on Ice and the fact in paired up with Eddie Kennett to the pairs wins in 2007 and 2008. You want riders that know what they are doing on ice and can entertain the crowd, so in that regard its a good line-up. The defending Brits Open Champion Martin Smolinski is back to defend that so It should be a good fun day. A chance to catch up with other fans and enjoy the smell and noise, thats why I enjoy indoor events. Telford is such a nice place, with a very good shopping centre, parks and plenty of places to eat. This year in the International Centre right near the Ice Rink theres a Classic Off Road and Road Racing show between 10 and 3.30pm, Adults £10, Kids go free. Links about it below. http://www.southwatereventgroup.com/classic-off-road-&-racing-show http://www.classicoffroadshow.com/
  12. Does anyone have the results from the Rosbank Meeting and where Dan the Man finished.
  13. I would say about 8pm, I too am looking to get the the train there and back this year. Currenty the last Cross Country Train to leave Cardiff for Birmingham is 8.20pm but the station is about 5 minutes walk away. That timetable is to the end of May so I hopeing they have a slightly later one for when the new timetable is out. The meeting can run over so I would have to leave before the final.
  14. Jon Armstrong is Dudleys number 1, been announced on BBC WM
  15. I really think this a fantastic signing for the Heathens, Adam is a quality rider at this level. When he rode for the Brummies in 2008 in the Premier League he averaged around 8 before he had his injury as is shown below from the Brummies in 2008 AVERAGES M R P B Ave. GSA Adam Roynon 10 50 94 15 8.72 7.52 He was beating some EL standard boys but the injuries he has have knocked his confidence greatly. If he can get back to that level then he will be the best rider in this league and I hope does. Adam is another of my favourite riders and I hope the kid stays injury free this season. Dudley team building looking very good so far.
  16. Feel really sorry for the Mildenhall fans, some of the best fans in the sport. The BSPA are hell bent on destroying the sport, through their own self interests rarther then listening to fans. The way Mildenhall and especially the fans have been treated is nothing short of a disgrace. Shame on you BSPA
  17. Krzysztof Kasprzak Rene Bach- Sadly Google Translate wont translate the page from Danish for some reason but you can still copy and paste news stories seperatly and translate them into English. Nice Site anyway
  18. Lets hope all the promotors turn up on the right day as the Newport Hornets section in the Star says Wednesday whilst the Dudley Heathens says its on Tuesday. . Oh and lets hope no-one walks out of this AGM.
  19. How about Jack Hargreaves, hes been gone from the sport for a while but Im sure I read somewhere that he was looking to make a comeback. When he was at Brum in the Premier League he hit a rich vein of form and managed to achieve 5.5 ish so I think he would do a good job if his average fits.
  20. That is great news , I went to see the Dream Team at Perry Barr last season and I really enjoyed it. So its even better this time to see the Bulls taking them on. I already know the Bulls have challenges with Dudley and Stoke next year, so its nice to see another. The only other time I remember the Bulls in action is in 2007 basically just as a second half. So to see them competing in full length meetings will be very pleasing. Hopefully the next step is to enter a NL team, would love it personally. Lets hope the Dream Team Meeting is as entertaining as last year and we see Mr Novratil in action again
  21. I hope Danny King does get a Swedish team in 2011 as I dont believe he has a Polish team yet.
  22. Good to see Wizzer get a Testimonial at Perry Barr, looking forward to already.
  23. Dont forget aswell some clubs havent released anything about Season Tickets/Admission Prices yet, so we have no idea of how much it will cost to watch our teams this year. Its a shame as I was planning to get a season ticket, its too late now. The fact the NL AGM keeps on getting cancelled isnt a surprise really, the BSPA havent treated this league with any sort of respect for some time. I dont see why the problems in the Elite League should stop this AGM. This league is very important in terms of bringing on the next British Talent yet why dont the BSPA realise this. The way things are going at the moment, I dont really have any confidence that the season will start in March even though a few fixtures have been released.
  24. Thanks for answering, I thought the BSPA said they were to come in on 1st January 2011, seems another U-turn coming on me thinks.
  25. Well done Smarty for the win, lets hope this isnt the only thing he wins with the result of the Dudley News Sports Personality of the year up and coming. I couldnt go due to the joys of work but one question I do have is, were the New Silencers used for this meeting.
