Left after Heat 12 due to the long delay with the Doyle crash, all the best to him. Shame only one ambulance for such a big meeting, perhaps there wasn't another one available. Proud of Team GB for fighting back after a shocking start, they showed alot of guts.Hope everyone gets behind us now, interesting to Davey Watt having a pop at all the negative talk about Team GB. So enjoyed my first visit to Poole since 1999 ( You just need 2 ambulances instead of 1!! Lol) and Well done Team GB.

Going to this tonight, making the short train journey from Bournemouth. I am looking forward to it as the lineups are good and two Brummies riders in it. However I agree its a complete disgrace that there is no info on format. I hope its just 15 as I need the meeting to finish for 21:40 to get to the hourly train back at 21:54. It would be great if the BSPA bothered to promote this and not mess fans about by not saying anything.

Who's In For Team Gb
Brummie Kev replied to mjamin's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Going to the test at Poole, so quite pleased Barker and King are included. Barker deserves his chance as he's been outstanding of late. King has struggled badly, has had the injury but prior to it he had two bad meetings against Swindon. Hope he does better. -
I watched last nights meeting, not the greatest but Ive seen worse. The Hammerby track I thought was a disgrace, there was one part that was bordering on dangerous. The inside of Bend 4 seemed to be heavily rutted, with riders lifting violently in most heats. We saw THJ almost wipe Gollob out in Heat 12, he managed to correct himself and prevented a serious crash but most riders in pratyically every heat were having trouble with that part of the track.

I read in a local paper today that apparently Ben Barker and Daniel King aswell as Eddie Kennett were due to ride in this meeting. As its Brummies/Coventry on the same day, a big local derby and probably the biggest crowd since 2007 is expected with Emil making debut at PB, its understandable that our promotion didnt want to move it or use a side with guest riders. It would be nice to beat the Bees with a full side. I dont understand why Barker,King and Kennett cant be used at Poole, with 3 other riders used at Swindon. Surely we were'nt going to see the same 3 sides for GB in the 3 Tests. Its should be all about rotating the sides so everyone that is in form gets a fair crack at the whip.

Dudley Heathens Vs. Belle Vue Colts

God that was an awful crash in Heat 14 and the crash in Heat 11 looked pretty bad too. -
Watched it on Premier Sports, the commentator was much better this week and I enjoyed the coverage. The racing later was terrfic especially with Nicki P and AJ. Glad to see Eric Andersson was okay and able to continue, thaty looked quite a nasty fall on the backstraight. Just how good do Dackarna look, Freddie, AJ, Rune Holta and the very impressive Pavlic as their top 4 plus not forgetting Arthur Mroczka. Vargarna look a shocking side to me, Pedersen and Miedzinski apart. KK was in the mix and involed in a cracking battle with AJ in one heat (cant remember which one) but only scored 4 points. I see he was wearing his Brummies racesuit, I wonder if we will see him wearing it for the Brummies again.

Well Done Krzysztof Kasprzak

Nope, Birmingham V Wolves been called off due to this taking place on the same evening -
Good Signing for the Heathens, Kyle is a top rider at this level and a rider that the Heathens fans should love watching. He never knows when hes beaten and gives 100% out on the track.

22 Weeks Of Live Swedish League On Uk Tv!
Brummie Kev replied to Stu_H's topic in International World of Speedway
I think Premier Sports are thinking about getting rights to Polish Speedway. Ive been following the discussion about it on their facebook page. Their concerns are because there is so much sport they show on Sunday, they might have to show delayed coverage of it. They say people wont subsribe to watch delayed coveage and instead will just watch it on internet streams. They are probably right, however many people will subscribe for Swedish Speedway alone and even delayed coverage of Polish Speedway will tempt people to sign up. The disscussion page has been going on for a few months, but Premier Sports posted as late as last friday about it. So its clearly in their thoughts, I would URGE everyone to comment on the discussion on their facebook site. -

Are you sure Krzysztof Kasprzak is riding for Vargarna, hes been banned by his Polish Club from riding in the UK, so surely that includes Sweden too.

Elite League Pairs

Its the way it goes sadly, pity we cant just withdraw tonight. I'm sure Jake Knight will give his all, no question of that but tonight is just going to be painful to watch from a Brummies Perspective. -

No King, No KK and No Daniel Nermark ( who is in Sweden) for the Brummies in this. God knows who is going to partner Ales, I would imagine Ben Barker, James Wright or Joe Screen as Wolbert is probably in Germany. -
Well done to the Bulls on a good win, now lets beat them Heathens on Sunday.
-
Good luck to the Bulls on the Island tomorrow, I think we have quite a decent side certaintly at reserve anyway. I'm glad we have sone riders that were involved in the USA Match, Hargreaves and Webster. Webster was excellent then so hoping for more of the same tomorrow. I do think we will win. Jamie Pickard has been in excellent form for Stoke and hes at reserve for us tomorrow aswell. Aaron Baseby has started the season pretty well for Mildenhall and scored solidly in their opening two meetings. So we could be strong at reserve which is good. Good Luck Bulls!
-
Both deserved it, Ive seen Ben Reade before when Plymouth were at Perry Barr last season and looked decent then too. He looks better then a 3 point rider and whilst Garrity should increase his average hugely, I can also see Ben doing similar. He doesnt seem to have been around for long but looks good.

Well I was looking forward to this, and it sure didnt disapoint. Despite the margin of victory for the Bulls, the USA team cant be disapointed with their effort and performance. The level of racing was superb tonight, especially when Castro and McConnell were in them, alot of Castros wins came from the back too with win quite briliant passing. I was impressed with the crowd, decent considering its a meeting of NL standard. Saw alot of kids in and not surprising considering it was FREE for under 11s. The crowds for the Bulls meeting should go up against Dudley and Stoke too. Bulls Ratings (my opinion) Jack - Did pretty well with 9 from 4 rides, although he was no match for Castro. 7.5/10 Tom- Only the one race win but cant complain with 7+2 from 4 rides. 6.5/10 Tim- Outstanding, looked very quick all night. 13+1 from 5 rides. 9.5/10 Brendan- Was okay but suffered from engine trouble after one race. 4 points from 4 rides 5/10 Paul- The only Bulls rider to beat Castro, and rode very well. 13 from 5 rides. 8.5/10 Ben- Very impressed with this kid, looks to have a bit about him. Is he really a 3 point rider , can only see at least 2 points on this average this season. 9+2 from 4 rides. 9/10 Darryl- Decent performance, 5+2 from 4 rides. 6/10 The American team can take alot of credit for the entertainment they provided the crowd tonight, especially Castro and Mad Dog. Castro was sensational and I actually wanted him to win Heat 15 and get his 18 point max which he totally deserved, 10/10 for me. Shawn McConnell scored 5+1 from 4 rides but deserved double that. He was no where near as quick as Castro but bloody entertaining. He made sure he used the wide Perry Barr bends to his advantage and at times it was edge of your seat stuff, fantastic. Doug Nicol always did pretty fairly well, a good second place on the tactical in Heat 14. Joey Holt looked okay with 4 from 3 but the Americans badly struggled. I guess this was there first time riding together after the practice was rained off at Buxton. I can only see the American team getting better as the tour advances for them. So a good opening first Bulls win, Congratulations to Phil Morris. Lets hope the Brummies get a similar type win next Thursday against Lakeside.

Elite League Pairs
Brummie Kev replied to I HATE THE RAIN's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
They will probably add the totals of the pairings for each team and the lowest misses out. So it could be Eastbourne that misses out. -
If theres no updates, then there may be score updates on this link. http://twitter.com/brummiesfans

I was wondering what the riding order of the Bulls will be tomorrow night, my guess is: 1. Jack Hargreaves 2. Brendan Johnson 3. Tim Webster 4. Tom Perry 5. Paul Starke 6. Ben Reade 7. Darryl Richings Anyone know the riding order for the US team. Hope we get another good meeting at Perry Barr, as this is a NL standard meeting I presume the old silencers will be used. I have yet to see a poor meeting on the new ones (despite what the so called 'experts' say on them ), so will be interesting to see if the racing is better, about the same or worse tomorrow. Good Luck the Bulls

Good Luck in your opening meeting as Team Manager of the Bulls Phil. Looking forward to this, it will be good to get away from the Elite League for one week and watch the kids in action. Delighted to see Jack Hargreaves back in Birmingham Colours Before he took a break, he did a great job for us in the Premier League, didnt he average around 5.5. Looks a good Bulls team, good to see 'Fred' Perry in the Bulls line-up. If he misses the gate, we are all in for a treat . Looking at the Dream Team, we all know about 'Mad Dog' but looking forward to watching Eddie Castro once again. A shame Austin Novratil isnt here this year as he was so impressive here last year. I'm sure there will be someone from the Dream Team that will step up to the mantle this year. So I'm hoping to see a Birmingham win on Thursday, 'The Brummies' have lost two out 3 home meetings, so it would be nice to see the 'Bulls' hopefully get off to a good start.
