I dont see how you can leave Danny King out of the World Cup team, he has been in great form this year and has only had one bad meeting. Will probably go to to number 1 in this Brummies side soon. Harris is not riding great at the minute, he is trying but doesnt always have the speed and is having bike trouble a fair bit. Craig Cook deserves a chance as hes been excellent when Ive seen him and Kennett looks totally transformed with his move to Swindon. I would go for: Woffy King Kennett Cook

Sky's Additions To It's Speedway Coverage.
Brummie Kev replied to Stephen7's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Great to see another Premier League match on Tv, I know its from the Oak Tree Arena again but its a fantastic track and Im sure it will provide us with fantastic racing once more. Brummies v Poole on again, Sky seem to love this fixture. In each of the past 2 seasons its been on Sky and on each time its been a Poole away win. Hope its different this time!! -
Sensational Meeting, best I've seen for a long while. Delighted Emil won, as he's my favourite rider to watch, especially when he's at his best in full flow. Got to give praise for Tai, was superb and he looks like he really belongs on the GP scene now. Much different to his first time in the Gps. Woffy,Woffy,Woffy!!!.

I think the Elite League season starts far too early. Just why do we need to start the season in March when each team only has 14 home matches and has to mid Septempter to compete them. I know we need reserved dates, but its just too stop/start and drawn out. The Brummies race home meetings every two weeks until July!! and dont have another away match in over a month. Not ideal

Villa's average home crowd is very slightly UP this season compared to last. Surprising considering how rubbish we have been this season. Last season the average crowd was 33, 874, this season its 34,350. -

Only an inter-league challenge I know but hope the lads put a good show on. Have no idea on the Brummies riding order but my guess is: King Doyley Ricky Josh Ben Nico Smoli Stay Safe lads, ready for the Bee's tomorrow! -
Cardiff 2013 5pm Start
Brummie Kev replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Thinking of going down on the train this year and coming back after the meeting. Moving the start time really helps, as the last train from Cardiff Central to Birmingham New Street is 20:50. Theres one before it at 8pm, that I could catch if I leave early, the stadium is fairly close to the station so that is possible. -
Scott Nicholls Chris Harris Danny King Ben Barker Craig Cook Josh Auty Kyle Howarth Don't know what the riding order will be.

Why Do Speedway Meetings Take So Long To Run
Brummie Kev replied to cityrebel's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think it varies from club to club, I generally have not found a problem when Ive gone to Birmingham. I only live a 10 minute drive away and most of the time I'm back in my house about 9.30. There are occasions when there are delays due to crashes or weather but usually they go straight through in that case. I remember a rain affected meeting against Somerset a few years back, the meeting started at 7.45 and was finished way before 9. When I go to away tracks, alot of them run meetings at a much slower pace which I don't like. One way of speeding it up is not open the pit gate when there is an unsatisfactory start, as you are always waiting for that rider which slows the meeting down. I think its ridiculous that they are allowed back into the pits, when its only been an unsatisfactory start, good to see many riders now just go back to the start line but there's always one!! -

Confirmed Signings For 2013
Brummie Kev replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You can put Covatti back in now, as he's confirmed on the Brummies site. http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.1602 -
I can see both of them dropping their averages
-
I would be 50/50 on him if he joined the Brummies. I dont see Doyle increasing that 6.50 in all honesty and if he came, he would more than likely be a third heat-leader. Having said that, his record at Perry Barr is very good, 9 paid 10 from 4 rides for the Robins in the playoffs, the previous time in 2011 he got 13 from 5 for Poole. Also I seem to remember him doing well for Somerset when we were in the Premier League.

Confirmed Signings For 2013
Brummie Kev replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You can cross Josh Auty and Nicolas Covatti off, neither have signed for the Brummies yet. -
A shame there will be no Perry, as a neutral that goes to occasional Heathens matches at Monmore, hes one the reasons I go. The fun usually is when Tom misses the gate, he knows that track so well that it takes him no time in reeling in opposition riders then to pass them, alot of the time on the last bend. He's box office, and a shame if he's leaving.
-
I think you have him confused with Bjarne Pedersen
-
Fingers crossed for the first point The H Man , I wonder if its the fourth point, could we be seeing Phil coming out of retirement as a rider/coach.

Just seen this from the Hammers website: "The Lakeside Hammers will be making a major announcement, exclusively on the Lakeside Hammers website, tomorrow, Thursday 15th November at 11am. The announcement is not rider based." Any ideas???

Confirmed Signings For 2013
Brummie Kev replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Are Adam Roynon, Michal Szczepaniak and Aaron Summers 100% confirmed as Coventry riders next year. The article on the Bee's website says Mick Horton "indicated" they are returning but it then talks about the doubling up rules wich are to be confirmed at the AGM. Are they waiting for the outcome of that ? -
Leicester Lions 2013
Brummie Kev replied to Honey Monster's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If Leicester go Elite I reckon: 1. Kenneth Bjerre 8.18 2. Bjarne Pedersen 7.35 3. Edward Kennett 6.22 4. Ryan Fisher 6.02 5. Lasse Bjerre DU 4.91/??? 6. Ricky Kling 3.97 7. Linus Eklof 3.00 -
Apparently Coventry are entering a National League team next year, thats what I read in the 2013 thread in the EL section.
