British Grand Prix 2012
Brummie Kev replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I used the earphone abit, problem was it was just too loud in the stadium to hear it all the time. You can turn the volume up but even on full blast its hard to hear it with all the airhorns. I might just be going deaf though!!!! -

Just back at hotel in Caerphilly, congratulations to Chris Holder. Some very good racing, good performance from Scotty, bomber got better after a shocking start but too late. The crowd looked abit down, although it was packed near me in middle tier. At the end of the day it's more about the atmosphere, tonight as ever was electric. Must say great to see so many in Rico t shirts, truely brilliant. RIP -

The pose Bomber makes with the inflated air jacket at 1:30 in to this video, really makes me chuckle . Seriously though, good to see riders trying out new things in an attempt to be safer on track -

Good Luck to Scotty, Bomber, Tai and Danny tonight, its going to be tough facing the Aussies but we did finish ahead of them a few years ago to reach the final. Race-off will be very tough, so fingers crossed we do it tonight. Hope to see the Norfolk Arena packed to the rafters, that will no doubt provide amazing support for the boys!! -

Poland have called up Krzysztof Buckowski into the side for the race-off on Thursday, replacing Walasek. Buzkowski has apparently been with the Polish team practicing so gets his chance. I do find it a strange selection when you have riders of the calibre of Shamek Pawlicki, Kasprzak or even Zmarslik to call on. http://speedwaygp.co...ked-for-malilla -
Good meeting last night, thought it was a vast improvement on the dull meeting the week before . Credit to Elit Vetlanda on securing the away win, Emil and Crump were very good for them. Great to see a large crowd in attendance, I know in the UK some speedway fans would rather sit on their backsides at home and watch it on TV . Pleased that wasnt the case in Sweden last night.

Watched the meeting last night on Premier Sports and to be honest I thought it was a dreadful meeting. Mainly from the gate which is surprising given Manilla is usually a great race track. There was the one heat (Heat 6 or 7 I think) when AJ and Freddie 'attempted' to team ride together, only to fail and let Greg Hancock pass. Also in another Anton Rosen and Piotr Pawlicki were exchanging places a few times. That was it till Heat 15, when MJJ missed the gate (thank god)and passed Hancock and Holder. We have seen good speedway this season, last night however was not it sadly.

Gp Qualifier Berwick 16/6
Brummie Kev replied to Warm&Cosy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good to hear of a good crowd up at Berwick despite the weather. A real shame that the weather affected the quality of the racing but all the credit has to go to the track staff, looks like the covers did the job. I would love to see track covers introduced in British Speedway, perhaps at first for Sky meetings. I know cost of them may be an issue but how much does it cost promotors to call off meetings. I think they are worth it. Really hope the FIM have it at Berwick again with hopefully really good weather. Well Done to Bomber and Danny!! -
Oh yeah, forgot that . At least it was just the ONE heat this week!!

Good meeting I thought, I take my hat off to Vastervik as before the meeting I thought Piraterna would win easy given the line ups. Very impressed with Pavlic for the vistors, perhaps its time for a return to the British league for him. Same could be said of Ljung, amazing to see a GP rider at reserve in the Swedish Elitseren. Thankfully Premier Sports had no problems so we could enjoy all 15 heats of this terrfic contest but a real shame we have a two weeks till the next match. Still it should be a thriller in Malilla!!!!

What amazing support you have, just wish you had your own stadium so we could see you in the Elite League. Perhaps that may not be too far off If you get crowds like that at an adopted home like Monmore, it makes me wonder how many fans would be at the same venue against bitter rivals Wolves. They would be turning people away I reckon. -
I just hope we dont see a cock up from Premier Sports this week and we see all 15 heats . Last week they lost pictures around Heat 11/12 and couldnt get them back. They claim it wasnt their fault but the coverage wasnt disrupted in Sweden by all accounts.

Thought it was a brilliant GP, Well Done to Crumpie on winning the GP, he was my second choice in final after Bomber. I swear Nicki Pedersen's hero must be Didier Drogba , at least his antics livened up the meeting. Really pleased to see a much better performance from Bomber, shame he missed the gate in the final. Impressed with the Young Danes, especially Mikkel B Jensen, I hope we see him back in the Elite League soon.
