Leicester 2014 . Elite

They should call it off, Eastbourne/Birmingham on he same day has been called off and this should follow. You cant possibly stage a meeting if the lineups are like that, would be a disgrace. -
Brummies V Belle Vue 11/6/14
Brummie Kev replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Glad we off the foot of the table after the win tonight, thought every single one of the Brummies riders played a part. Danny was terrific once again and Ben played big part by beating Zagar in his last two rides. Impressed with Simon Lambert, different rider since hes changed his machinery. Zmarzlik, Covatti and Starke didn't have perfect meetings but had their moment in helping to secure the 3 pts. For the Aces, very impressed with Stefan Nielsen looked pretty good on the track and an impressive performance from Richie Worrall too. Cook was woeful, for a guy banging in pts left right and centre in the Premier League he should be doing much better for the Aces, Disappointed with Scott Nicholls too, only one race win at a track he has gone well at previously. Also threw a tantrum at the start marshall after he told him to move over, then got off his bike to do some gardening when the other 3 riders are at the tapes ready to race. Clearly delayed the start of the race and should have been excluded. Very happy about tonight but disappointed we don't have a meeting for 3 weeks at home. Whats the point of having reserve dates in a fixture list and to not use them, next week is one but we are not racing. I just worry that with the poor crowds we have been getting , going 3 weeks without a home match wont help the situation. We need to be racing every week so fans get into the habit of going, a few weeks of no speedway wont help matters . We have three home meetings with no dates announced yet, next week would be perfect or to move an August meeting forward so we don't get a backlog. -

Oh my god, an Elite League match with two full strength teams, surely that cant be right?. Are we sure there isn't a secret Polish Championship Meeting somewhere. Hope its a good match, always love watching a class act like Zagar who went very well at PB last year. Also it will be good to see a full match from Bartek, hoping he can carry on from his impressive second ride against the Robins last week. -

Why cant it be rerun tomorrow, oh yeah its because we dont want upset the Polish. Nice to see the toothless FIM have got their proirities right. Call this off NOW, rearrange it for tomorrow and if the PZM arnt happy tell them to remove their riders from this meeting. Rder safety is the most important thing in the sport. -

Great effort lads we hit 30 points!!! , never thought that would be possible given the side we had. -

Nermark also missing for the 'B' fixture on August 7th too as Valsarna are riding, so I presume we will get fined for that aswell. I have no complaints if we get fined, we shouldnt have agreed to these fixtures in the first place given the poor side we are putting out. Shame the person that should answer to that isn't at the club anymore! -

Its a sad state of affairs that both clubs are seemingly more interested in getting one over each rather than thinking of the paying public. What hope is there for the sport. -
If there's anyone out there that can build you that stadium. it's Tony Mole. He defied all the odds to get speedway back at Birmingham and to secure full planning permission. Good Luck, hope he succeeds for you!

Absolute Shambles of a match , sad day for the Elite League that you get a match up like this. I find our lineup totally unacceptable, we should not fielding a team as weak as that. I had no idea that Nermark rode Sweden on Thursdays but why only Jorgensen as a replacement!! No disrespect to the lad but hes hardly of the same level. Also yet again for another away match we are without Starke, hardly rides away meetings for us. Its a joke I'm just sick of this league, constant missing riders and mickey mouse line-ups. I don't know what the future holds for the Brummies, as a fan I'm taking it match by match at the moment but should we make to the end of the season and beyond, i hope we drop back down. It may not be perfect in the PL, but it cant be any worse than this crap and I feel that's our level now. As a fan you just want to see two evenly matched sides going at it and that would be great on a really good track like Kings Lynn. We shouldn't have to suffer with match ups like this, it does the sport no favors at all. -
Birmingham V Swindon Mon 2nd June
Brummie Kev replied to Brummie Kev's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He should be suspended for that decision, refs should be accountable for all the decisions they make, he made 2 big mistakes, The Barker incident and the fact he failed to push the meeting through quicker. It doesnt matter whether Sky are there or not, PRIOR to 7.30 the black clouds were all around, why didnt he act? The riders were on the track a good 10/15mins before Heat 1!! That Barker decision was a disgrace, never seen anything like it. Imagine if that had been Heat 15 with it 42 all!! Refs will make mistakes but that was incompetence more than an error, would Tony Steele have made that decision. Very quick to make a decision, so didnt bother with the replay it seemed, -

Absolutely hacked off at the minute, its a joke in my opinion that the didn't push this through and instead faffed around. The weather at 6 was great but I looked on the met office radar at about 18.30 and you could see there was a band of rain to the west not far from Wolverhampton. Look for yourselves, at 18.30/7 http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/ If Mr Robinson had seen that, then he would have been on to sky and the teams to try and push it through. No doubt about it -

If its half as good as the last home match against Eastbourne then we are in for a treat. Looking forward to this, cant wait to see Bart riding for us. Don't know what to expect with it being his first meeting but hoping he gets dialed in straight away. Also love watching Kildermand in action, one of my favorite riders in speedway and he loves our track. -

Are Speedway updates covering this meeting, 10 minutes to go and no thread on there! -
It will never happen, the BSPA haven't go the balls to do something like that.

This weekend its Zielona Gora v Gorzow, Ive only got into Polish speedway recently but that's a local derby isn't it. So obviously don't wont their boy riding for us two days before in case he gets injured. We are due to ride against Eastbourne on 21st June a day before Gorzow ride, so no doubt they dont want him riding in that either, so its why they have only given him match-by-match start permission. Can you imagine if Wolves didn't want Tai to ride in Poland on a Sunday because they had a big derby with Coventry the day after and got the BSPA/ACU to remove his start permission, there would be uproar in Poland. There needs to be the same uproar here and not just from the Brummies, its unacceptable that British Speedway is messed around like this

Easy Coventry win tonight, gotta hope King performs like he normally does around Brandon to keep this respectable. Dont know if our riding order is correct, Wouldn't Nermark have top ride in a heat leader postion as hes ahead of Josh G in the averages? -
Here we again, bloody poles!! Sadly I don't think we will see Zmarzlik in Brummies colours, We've had problems with Tomasz Piszcz when we in the Premier League, KK in 2011 and now Zmarzlik. Only Marek Mroz and Adam Skornicki (so far) are the only riders who have not had any problems. Its out of order really, we never deny a British rider start permission to ride over there and don't mess their clubs around but they do it to us. I hope the BSPA are doing something behind the scenes, but im not holding my breath. Just one shambles to another, constant bad news with this club
