  1. Shocked by this news, I liked him as a commentator and my favourite race was the one below, great race but great commentary from Millard, his phrase of " Oh this is amazing, are they dancing together" just lives with me. My condolences go to his family and friends, will be greatly missed. RIP Tony
  2. Don't worry probably wont be an Elite League next year, just a Premier League which as we know can do no wrong!!!
  3. Couldn't believe it when Covatti got injured and was lying on the track, with Tattum saying: "Hope Darcy Ward is Okay" but no mention of Covatti at all, what a prat!! Congratulations to Iversen on the win and Tai for another top performance. Fingers crossed nothing broken for Nico!!
  4. Surprised Redcar have agreed to the meeting being restaged on 26th August as they will be without Ostergaard and Summers. Coventry and Belle Vue are in action on Bank Holiday Monday, those meetings were arranged first and this is only a re staging. Its why Doyle and Auty were missing for their Pl clubs last night.
  5. Hope the Brummies make it to the end of the season!!

  6. It was a joke, if the reason for seeding them through was to get more locals in, then its a massive fail for the FIM as plenty of empty seats on the home straight especially. It should be the 4 best teams in the final that have made it there on merit. This year for me the World Cup has been totally devalued as a competition with the FIM doing that and also having it on such a poor track such as Prague. Really not enjoyed it this year, think its been great in previous years. Thank you FIM!!
  7. Glad to see Ben has been called into the team for Thursday, I felt he should have been selected for the team instead of Kennett in the first place, his form of late has been very good. I don't agree at all with Bridger;s inclusion, whats he done to justify being selected. This year his average has gone backwards, and is only a second string in the El. If they wanted to change Cook, than why not Danny King. Yeah Danny had a lean spell at number 1 for us but its his solid scoring that got him there. It just wasn't the case of Bomber doing so bad at number 1, Danny increased his average from the starting average he started the season with. Many thought he would never hold it, but he not only did that but slightly increased it to get him to number 1. On the whole hes had a decent season and is surely would have been a better option than Bridger. I do feel for Cook, his comments may anger some but at least he cares. He did try his best and I dont think he disgrace himself on Monday. He didnt always gate which is normally his strong point but you could see him trying. Perhaps we could have left him in but either way I'm sure Craig will have plenty of opportunites to race in a Team GB in the future for sure!!
  8. Really think Barker should have been in the team, hes been in great form for the Brummies and Ipswich of late after a slow start to the season. I watched him tonight and he was absolutely fantastic, one of the best performances I seen him give and only 50/50 going into the match. Awesome
  9. Was good to see the hovercam or whatever its called at Perry Barr last night, looks a bit wierd but you get some great shots of the action. Would love to control the thing( presume its remote controlled), would be like having one of them remote controlled helicopters but on a larger scale. Boys toy!!
  10. Brummies next two home matches against Lakeside and Eastbourne are £10 admission with the vouchers they handed out tonight. They gave everyone envelopes with about 6 of these vouchers in to hand out to family, friends, work colleagues etc. This was done a few years back and resulted in a big crowd and many newcomers, hope its the case again.
  11. True but I think Bomber's a different rider when hes got that Team GB race bib on. Hes been very good in the world cup over the years and I think it would be wrong to not start with him. My 4 would be: Woffy Bomber Cookie Barker or King
  12. I really enjoyed Eurosport's coverage of the British GP. The presenter (Andy Jaye) whilst admitting at the start his limited knowledge of the sport, came across really well I thought. Sophie is so much better then Charlie, I just cringe sometimes with the question's Charlie asks. Scott I have always liked as a pundit but looked alot laid back then when he was on Sky. The bit about the bike set-up with Scott before the meeting was fascinating I thought.
  13. On twitter its says the decision at 6am is about delaying the start time not about it not going ahead. Although looking at Lindbacks twitter, it seems he is not happy at all. https://twitter.com/ALindbck
  14. I dont understand it at all tbh. The track at the last couple of Cardiff Gp's has been excellent, so if they have changed the shale, what sense is there for doing it. Even if they have, surely it cant be hard to prepare a race track. Afterall the bloody stadium has a roof, so cant blame bad weather and they get a fair amount of time to prepare one..
  15. Apparently the track is going to be relaid overnight, they are waiting for the new shale to be delivered by Breedon, which is due to arrive sometime overnight!! Lets hope they get it sorted.
  16. Oh dear!! You would think they would get the track right after all these years at Cardiff. We saw in the early years that it rutted up alot but them pictures look a bit worrying. I just hope with just under 24 hours they get it into some kind of raceable shape! fingers crossed
  17. Enjoyed yet another Premier League meeting on Sky, certaintly more entertaining than the El ones so far. Surprised a bit with the result, going into it I thought Newcastle would miss Ludvig too much and the Bandits would run out winners. Credit to Newcastle for the way they rode throughout by keeping it close and coming good in the end. Kennett was a little bit disapointing, I have seen him on fire in the EL this season, but look a bit dis-interested in his last few rides. Aspegren expected more of aswell. Decent performances from Wethers and Smith, shame no Bellego as he is box office and maybe would have got a few more points than what RR got. Great performances from R Worrall and Robson as you would expect and them two were backed up well with Christian Henry. However the star of the show for me was young Lewis Kerr. First time Ive seen him ride and very impressed with how he rode and good to see a young talent from a motocross background making such strides in short space of time. Hopefully wont be long before the next PL match on Sky.
  18. I dont see how you can leave Danny King out of the World Cup team, he has been in great form this year and has only had one bad meeting. Will probably go to to number 1 in this Brummies side soon. Harris is not riding great at the minute, he is trying but doesnt always have the speed and is having bike trouble a fair bit. Craig Cook deserves a chance as hes been excellent when Ive seen him and Kennett looks totally transformed with his move to Swindon. I would go for: Woffy King Kennett Cook
  19. Are you sure its Live on Premier Sports, in my tv guide on Sky it says starts at 9.30pm. They have llHF World Championship Ice Hockey live between 6.15-8.45pm. I'm not too fussed myself as I am working that evening and would have to Sky+ it anyway.
  20. Great to see another Premier League match on Tv, I know its from the Oak Tree Arena again but its a fantastic track and Im sure it will provide us with fantastic racing once more. Brummies v Poole on again, Sky seem to love this fixture. In each of the past 2 seasons its been on Sky and on each time its been a Poole away win. Hope its different this time!!
  21. Sensational Meeting, best I've seen for a long while. Delighted Emil won, as he's my favourite rider to watch, especially when he's at his best in full flow. Got to give praise for Tai, was superb and he looks like he really belongs on the GP scene now. Much different to his first time in the Gps. Woffy,Woffy,Woffy!!!.
  22. I think the Elite League season starts far too early. Just why do we need to start the season in March when each team only has 14 home matches and has to mid Septempter to compete them. I know we need reserved dates, but its just too stop/start and drawn out. The Brummies race home meetings every two weeks until July!! and dont have another away match in over a month. Not ideal
